Based on the release of recap movies in 2023 and 2024, I guess that Aniplex may release the 1st movie of the trilogy between February and April 2025.

I'm thinking they will go for Autumn 2025 and release the movies yearly at the same time in 2026 & 2027.

Earliest is by the end of this year. Anyways, they will bring their best animators for the movies and the content is filled with high octane action so I dont mind if it comes late next year.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

I'm guessing 1 movie every winter or spring-ish so that will make
1st movie 2025
2nd movie 2026
3rd movie 2027

Then it will be sunrise countdown

1 movie per year shouldnt be problematic as we already had
S1- 2019
Mugen Train- 2020
S2- Fall 2021/Winter 2022
S3- Spring 2023
S4- Spring 2024

Demon slayer ends around 2030 HOLY SHIT I WILL BE GETTING READY TO BE MARRIED IN A YEAR OR 2. damn

The trilogy this time will be distributed globally by Crunchyroll and Sony Picture Entertainment, which are 2 big players in the industry.

In 2020, when Mugen Train was released, Aniplex was in charge of globally release. Unfortunately, Aniplex is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment, whose expertise is less stronger than its sister company Sony Picture Entertainment in releasing movie worldwide.

I believe the trilogy will reach a mass amount of audience than Mugen Train.

Optimistically, late next year at the earliest. Realistically, probably not until some time in 2026.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

Based on all the seasonal/movie releases, they have a pretty consistent pacing of ~1.25 years for each season. From that, if they release each movie as it's ready (which is my personal prediction), the first movie should come out around fall/early winter 2025, then late winter/spring 2027 for the second, and finally around summer 2028 for the last one (oof that hurts now that I've written it out). I feel this is all also evidenced by how they handled F/sn Heaven's Feel.

It's possible they could just become hermits and then dump them all around the same time, in which case I'd estimate an optimistic 2027 for them to start with maybe a half year in-between each (some spacing to allow for more people to have the money to see each one in theaters, which makes sense). Either way it seems like it'll be awhile to finish. Hopefully with the Hashira Training arc being so light in comparison (as well as Swordsmith's Village arc imo, but that feels more debatable), they have a head start and will be a quarter year or so earlier for it all.

I think the big question is what the international release will look like.

I expect next spring or summer at the earliest. If it's late, I'm thinking next winter.

From the official Booklet of the first Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hashira Training Arc Blu-ray, the first episode of Season 4 was prepared in 2022. Here was the list of Ufotable's schedule:

- First episode Storyboard draft was sent/uploaded on April 16, 2022
- Dubbing/recording session: June 2, 2022
- Storyboard Draft completed on September 17, 2022
- Layout work started around October 18, 2022

If Hashira Training Arc was made in 2022, it possibly means that the Infinity Castle Arc trilogy has been in production for at least 1 year. Ufotable has carefully planned for Kimetsu in advance that much.

I guess this time, with the assistant of Sony Entertainment and Crunchyroll, the global release will be faster this time. Additionally, Aniplex has increased the collaboration with local distributors during the releases of 2 recapped movies in 2023 and 2024. This, in turn, can introduce the trilogy to international audience quicker than Mugen Train in 2020.

In my opinion, releasing 2 recapped movies internationally not only focused on generating cash, but also tightened the connection with local distributors and cinemas outside of Japan. The production committee of Kimetsu may plan the trilogy long before making decision of broadcasting 2 recapped movies. It looks like they test how big the global fanbase is.
