We got more important background storytelling this episode. If anything, this show goes out its way to give depth into family's pasts especially Aoi's.

As expected Himari does what she can to help out Aoi because that's the type of selfless person she is. A lot of stakes this episode...but I like how Aoi didn't back down from the challenges ahead of him.

Damn Aoi’s backstory was very tragic. Losing your mom at such a young age and then the only friends you have are your ayakashi “siblings” who no one else can see but you. Kinda reminded me of something out of Harry Potter.

To her credit, the step mom did try her best to be loving to Aoi, but the Ayakashi negative influence got to her. I was a little confused what happened to the baby that she was pregnant with though.

Having learnt Aoi’s backstory, Himari is ready to break thru the barrier and save him. After all the times he’s saved her, about time she come to his rescue lol.

A kiss! A naked kiss at that 😂 Aoi not gonna be able to keep rejecting surely now.

Nachi ended up being all lone himself eh, poor dude is just a husk of a being at this point. Not quite human, oni or ayakashi. Almost feel bad for him.

Wonder how things will go in the last episode

Himari diving into Aoi's backstory, he's had quite the normal childhood life, through his mother's passing and the children, which are zashiki-warashi ayakashi spirits which only he could see, it felt like his life had taken for the worse. Soon after, Aoi getting a new stepmother, and it does not make his plight that much easy and had to give up his friends and parents just to stay away from the evil ayakashi. That's where Nachi comes up and understands his situation and told him to go to Momochi House and live all alone, his entire family had been bound by ayakashi who despises him. In fact, Aoi has been burdened with the unnatural power of the ayakashi all this time, and with the help of Torii, managed to overcome Nachi's kotodama.

With Aoi being able to break out of Nachi's spell, he transforms into Nue to seek reason with the latter, though there's no helping him at this point. Also, with Yukari, Ise and the other ayakashi saved to thwart Nachi, who wanted to eliminate ayakashi, and transforms into an Oni to live and breathe his goal. But with Himari having a rather strong pushback from the Oni expelled from Nachi, Aoi saving her with a kiss while being naked, their troubles have finally been purged.

One of the highlights of the manga (and now anime) displayed.

Omg are we going to get a confession in the next episode?!

I forgot that there's still Kasha, so the main problem hasn't been solved yet... and the past of Momochi's house hasn't been fully explained either... seeing Himari who was able to exorcise Nachi sensei's demon, I guess she does have a hidden ability (?) that will be needed to free Aoi from Nue.

Aoi's past is sad. It may be a cliché, but it's still sad. Aoi's stepmother was not to blame because it was understandable to think that Aoi might be lying about not liking her, but little Aoi was also confused and had trouble explaining because they could not see invisible beings..

Even though the adaptation is bad, but for some reason I want this to get a second season...

Ngl tired of the constant comparison and whining about Kamisama Kiss with this anime
I like Momochi House because it's different, as someone who read the manga and is watching the anime
If I wanted Kamisama Kiss, I'd just watch/read fricking Kamisama Kiss

@hanakocheeks kasha will always be a pain in the butt for the gang lol himari and the momochi house past will be fully explained, but that'll depends if this series will be lucky enough to get a second season considering the manga ended years ago. honestly, i never thought to hope it'll even get an anime adaption years after i finished reading it. the anime makes me want to reread the manga again since i know the anime skipped through a lot shit and i'm pretty sure they rearrange some stuff to get to the current arc in the anime. it's been awhile, so i could be remembering it wrong about the "rearranging some stuff" part

For some reason I thought that Himari was going to gain powers and turn Kasha into her own Shikigami and save him that way but I was wrong XD
