| I think ever since the last arc of the first part, we only got banger after banger even when it comes to storytelling and battles. With chapter 7 leaks being out and being even more of just that. Also, I appreciate some of the attempts of making the later retcons of the original manga less bullshit than what they were (the little expansions on the chakra lore and the Outsutsuki clan as a whole really helped some of the content that disappointed me before be a bit more palatable in retrospect). I'm still ?????? on how Orochimaru just got away with all his crimes and now is buddies with the good guys, but hey, at least it's so sidelined that I can kinda ignore for the most part... But all in all, Boruto really went from a sad joke of an excuse to keep the franchise going, to something I actually am reading and enjoying quite a bit. Not sure if that's an unpopular opinion to be had about the series, since at least Part 2 has been overall well received, but my compliments do extend to the weaker parts of the first part building up to this, despite them being mostly just ok. Tell me about your impressions too, as I'm curious if more people agree that this is going in the better direction it could have gone. |

| Unnecessary cash grab sequel no one asked for. Only the movie was good. So that's a no from me. Naruto fell off the War arc onwards imo (Shippuden was inconsistently going between good to ass on/off throughout anyway) |

| I am surprised as well. So far it is much better than Boruto. The 7 chapters did really well. Something I could not say about many other sequels to old property. Like DBS is still a joke. |
| Boruto has always been hellish decent, the manga and the anime. Way better than other shonen cash grab sequels not made by the author such as DBS, FT100YQ etc |
| Boruto has a good plot and power system. That's about it. The characters and overworld barely have any depth and the art isn't great. The most important things that need changing are the art and publishing schedule. This should be a bi-weekly manga and the art really needs to be better. Kishimoto is a much better artist than Ikemoto, and also much less creepy. The overworld and characters lacking depth is fine if JJK can get away with it lol. |
