it's a slice of life ;-; so I wouldn't really expect it to have a plot. Just enjoy it for the way it is.

i like to think that ultimately the General will actually abandon his plans of destroying humanity, because he will feel at home on earth, with all the kind people he's surrounded by and with cute panda things he loves. I like to think that this is the plot. Whether I'm right or not only the time will show!

With slice of life and iyashikei it's was already out of question before the panda was even born. Try polar bear cafe for an absence of plot that at least try to fit a plot as opposed here where a plot was never intended in the first place.

I agree with you. as time goes on, he seems to be attached to a few more things on earth. eventually, maybe he won't want to destroy earth

I think that it won't as its genre is a slice of life, in such works there isn't a significant plot progression, life simply goes on and that is it, it has its own charm to observe.

Slice of life deserve overarching plots too. Shows like Kino's Journey and Mushishi are almost entirely episodic but generally slice of life shows the passage of time, character development, and/or relationship (non-romantic) development. Although with most series it's almost entirely relegated to the ending.

@Memore I said that completely separate to your post on the slice of life genre. Being slice of life doesn't excuse a series for going nowhere, and separately I was saying that this series goes nowhere.
