After months of putting off watching this show, I've finally finished this show. and I must say that the first 9 episodes were abysmal compared to the final 3 episodes. we got to see much more character in Shizuka rather than the stingy boring girl we knew from the start. we saw some action and some emotional plot story to it. and it's a shame that a lot of people haven't finished this show since the delays were so bad. I truly think that the final EPs were really well made and superb compared to the rest of the show, and it's brought my score up from below 5 to possibly a 6 or 7.

is that only me? idk I've probably forgotten half the plot from the first 9 EPs

no i agree, the vibes of the first 9 were completely different to the last 3. I liked both sides tbh but the final 3 were phenomenal

It was very good when it first came out, and frankly it was nice and enjoyable, but after the break it got a little weird, but it still wasn't that bad, it just didn't end the way I wanted, I hope the second season will be good.

I really liked the pacing of the first 9. it has that seamless episodic road trip adventure style. and although the last 3 were great, it felt kind of rushed for me, trying to squeeze in those remaining character traits they failed to show in the previous eps. that and everything just played out too well for them, like there were 0 casualties. but I get it though, the show's a zombie konosuba it wouldn't really have major deaths

That’s fair, but I guess I feel differently.

I loved all of the episodes, but for me, episodes 1-8 and 12 were 10/10, whereas episodes 9-11 were slightly weaker, probably at a 9/10.

The main appeal of the show for me is watching these characters explore a crumbling society overrun by zombies, while still managing to have a positive outlook and live life to the fullest. And in my opinion, episodes 9-11 just didn’t quite feel like they were capturing that aspect of the series as well as the others, mostly due to the change in setting, and partly due to the fact that I think the three antagonists besides Higurashi were kinda poorly written. While their motivations fit the show’s theme, the execution felt so forced and shallow, which ended up actually detracting from said theme, imo.

But I thought that Higurashi, on the other hand, was great. While I think he deserved what he got, his story and death still hit me like a truck. I thought he was an incredible parallel for Akira, and that whole episode felt like a perfect finale for the season, which is why episode 12 went back to being 10/10 for me.

I don't think so. For me the first episode is the best as it introduces the show perfectly. I got hooked from that first episode itself. Sure some episodes in the middle are not strong but it still delivers overall.

I care because I'd love to see a second season and a fucked up airing schedule means severely skewed viewership numbers.

forget it, the anime has finished, even though it was really delayed, but never mind, let's wait for season 2 now 👍🏻

I liked the beginning more than the end, episode 3 was peak bromance.

I personally felt the anime was very well rounded. If not for the delay in releasing it would've been a sweet sweet experience watching it and people who will binge it now are the luckiest.

The first few episodes were light-hearted but that was the charm of it wasn't it? A zombie apocalypse and a guy living his life to the fullest. I thoroughly enjoyed that segment.

And for the season finale the way they made it a bit more intense made the overall anime even more interesting.

It's a solid anime and the animation is peak..plus we don't get many zombie animes..for a zombiehead like me this anime was 💯💯
