| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ----------------------------------- More criticism of our society while juxtaposing it with fairy tales. The old man slept with her and said that she was lower than an animal, and talked about animals being low because they can't talk. Turns out, his job is speaking up about the welfare of animals and the value of life. :/ The biggest kicker. He has a wallet made from a crocodile. Hypocrisy, what's that? More talk of fairy tales. The MC is obviously a Cinderella who wanted to rescue herself, though she's also Snow White. She's a hot young thing that the older women are jealous of. The step mom is obviously the evil queen in Snow White, and she's also a witch. It reminds me of Utena where if you're not a princess, then you're a witch. The daughter is Little Red Riding Hood in that she's innocent. She doesn't even think of the dangers of going out at night. Even when her mother warns her that it's dangerous, she just thinks "normal families don't let their kids out, so my mom has a point". |
