I think that 100 gfs is more similar compared to rent a gf because of the character relation dynamics. In gf gf, the characters are more friendly to each other compared to where rent a gf more are competing way and the rent a gf story is very different, especially in s3

@Reversign True true, but prob because in gf gf and the 100 gfs the characters are polygamists XD in rent a girlfriend they aren't

If you’re really into this anime I’d try out Renai Flos, Temple, and Worlds Harem. They definitely aren’t peak but seem like they’re up your alley.

i would say it’s more similar to 100 gfs. But i beg you never mention these 2 harem anime in the same sentence. Cuz one is the definition of mid (girlfriend, girlfriend) and the other is the definition of the highest peak of harem (100 gfs). You know what they say, if it’s broke add more of them or something like that

please say you are joking 100 gfs mc is boring and normal af while the mc character in gf gf is actually interesting + the personalities of the characters in gf gf are not too much on the extreme side unlike all other harem anime especially 100 gfs

i really don’t like any of the characters including the mc in girlfriend girlfriend
nor do i like the way the interact with eachother
in both the manga and anime of 100 gfs each character is an mc in their own rights, similar screen time etc. It doesn’t take itself too seriously which allows for extremely funny interactions between everyone. The problem with girlfriend girlfriend is that it takes itself to seriously whilst delivering subpar drama at the same time. 100 gfs is just more funny to me ig to put it simply :)
(i do agree that the actual mc of 100 gfs is boring af. But you can’t act as if the girlfriend girlfriend characters are godly or smth, the best one is mid at best)

I think "Girlfriend, Girlfriend" is similar to these two works only because they share a similar genre - harem, and, well, comedy - most importantly.

The concept is different, "The 100 Girlfriends" ironizes the harem genre in the form of absurdity, while "Girlfriend, Girlfriend" confidently held the bar of any realism, "Rent-a-Girlfriend" is also from the world of fantasy where the main character is a snotty boy who can pick up chicks, funny.

If there's a similar animanga, it's "5-toubun no Hanayome", which is gifted with logic, where in addition the protagonist is worthy of respect as well as Naoya.

Rent a Girlfriend is not a harem in either the true sense or the anime sense of the word. Kazuya likes Chizuru. none of the other girls have a chance.

100 girlfriends is like the OP isekai version of harem. the guy has to do basically nothing. In Girlfriend Girlfriend Naoya had to work at the relationship and the girls had to as well. it was actually a realistic representation of what that kind of relationship would be like in real life.

so neither of them are like GxG.
