Gradually became boring watching this, the story mostly just telling about the romance without exploring about why she guillotine and find the root cause about it and find a multiple way to prevent it rather then wasted more than half of this season for just 1 plot (romance), and there's many potential characters that can be a good story too and more screen time for it is more important. ahhh disappoinment to much expectations 5/10 for me

A nice ending, but I'm mad they skipped the ending song twice. It was the best part of the entire show.

And with this I finally got around to finish perhaps the most forgettable show of the incredibly stacked Fall season. At first I hated it, then it got a lot better and then finished somewhere in between.

Mia herself is a nice main character. Not on the level of Bakarina (from Hamefura) or Mitsuha von Yamano (from Roukin), but she's funny and I enjoyed seeing the world warp around her as she tried to save her future in her very own way. The running gag of "Wisdom of the Empire" aka "Everyone interprets what Mia does as something brilliant" and the narrator were good comedy aswell.
The pacing was also decent for a Light Novel. A bit too slow, if anything.

In it's other categories, the show doesn't score so well.
The romance was okay. Mia living her fairy tale love was funny, but the love triangle was unnecessary. Especially as Sion is (or was) such a disagreeable character.
Which leads me to the general problem of the side characters not being any good. They are requisites for Mia's jokes, but were not treated appropriately. I did not care for any of them and if there were no good jokes coming it was a drag to watch.
The serious plot was average. The diary and later the plotting of Wind Crows was good, but the execution was lacking. There were no characters to back up a serious plot and I wish they had rather attempted a more gimmicky parody of a serious plot.

Good and bad aspects are well balanced for this show. 5/10.

@Zaxphred "other people look like npc who just start talking and thinking too deep"

Overlord's Demiurge: "Sasuga Ainz-sama!"

it was solid 7 for me till this final arc.

Still kinda pissed with "let spare the villain who could kill many ppl" in any anime with this BS ending/conclusion, So final is score 6/10...
@IZUMI64 What Mia was trying to avoid is those villains reincarnate/redo their live and she gets dragged along into that essentially ruining everything she worked for to fix the issues that brought about the guilotine situation...

She just doesn't want to take that risk so she gave them a punishment probably worse than guilotine execution and that's having then listen to Rafina's lessons everyday for 3 yrs for who knows how many hours a day.

If that was me in that situation i too wouldn't like having to listen to the yapping of someone i don't even like nor know. That's more similar to torture tbh. Killing them would just be too light of a punishment, so the better solution would be to make them lose their sanity listening to Rafina's lessons... Less likely they'll reincarnate that way.

Good anime, really deserve the praises. Good animation quality, beautiful character designs, Good comedy and misunderstandings, likable characters. Mia's two-faced personality it's definitely part of her charm. Slowly redeeming herself while fixing the issues which led to her guilotine execution.

I couldn't care less about the romance aspect of this anime tbh, i've always seen that as just a hindrance which ruins the flow of the plot... If it's just the relationship between Sion and Tiona i would've been fine with it.

Abel is a good guy who does his best to improve himself, i get that but i honestly don't think Mia needs romance... Just give us more Anne screentime and more misunderstandings from everyone around Mia!

Give us more "Sasuga Mia-sama!"

@Bisalissy U probably binge watch this anime so the characters didn't grow on u. I only watch 2-3 episodes per day so i'd have some time to absorb the informations shown in the episodes. (Only found out about this anime a week ago).

Finishing all episodes in one go never really go well with me, characters would feel lacking if i skim through episodes too fast, and i end up not enjoying the anime that way if finish the anime fast.

@Shirowhite01

I watched it as seasonal for the first 5 episodes, kept going one by one for a few weeks and then finished the last 3 episodes at once. And for me, binge vs. weekly doesn't really affect how much I like characters.

@Bisalissy I see, in mybcase i thoroughly enjoyed the show the characters are pretty likable for me tho would've been better if Anne got more screentime her design in the anime really reminds me of Kaho from Blend S.

Tho tbh i felt like the romance aspect for Mia was utterly unnecessary, even without it she'll still be able to progress with her plans... In these types of anime i always find Romance to be a hindrance that ruins the flow of the plot.

I kind of like the misunderstandings and Mia's two-faced personality (i guess it's part of her charm). The misunderstandings surrounding Mia and her friends remind me a lot of Overlord like how Demiurge often thinks too deep and misunderstand Ainz's intentions.

@Shirowhite01 The misunderstandings and Mia being (not so) smart were really the best part of the show. I wish they had done more with this sort of comedy and just cut the romance stuff to a minimum ^^

@Bisalissy I agree hope we see more misunderstandings and more comedy in season 2 while also progressing with the plot (hopefully it gets 2nd season i think it really deserves to get it). Mia's VA also did a phenomenal job voicing her especially during her inner monologues.

very weak last arc where serious conflicts get resolved thru sheer dumb luck and the whole cast r so enamoured of Mia that they’d idolise/idealise her to the point of absurdity and basically carry the weight for her

final score dropped to 7 cuz I had fun with earlier episodes. guess the genre just isn’t capable of handling high stakes arcs, they all end up some kinda cringe farce
