In this film, the voice actress for Cagalli was changed from Naomi Shindo to Nanako Mori. Despite the change, I did not feel uncomfortable with the changed voice. Therefore, I think that her successor, Nanako Mori, gave a good performance as Cagalli .

@kihel well no it was meant for OP but since you replied ty why do you think OP Cagali's original voice seiyuu didnt want to be a part of gundam or was that random bs speculation by them?

The meaning of the OP does not translate well, so I will omit that point. I don't usually use English, so I didn't know what it was about.

As already mentioned in @shiroi-ookami's comment, Shindo, who voiced Kagari before the theater version, had a dispute with the director's wife and screenwriter Chiaki Ryozawa, who originally passed away, during the Distiny, so, well, he didn't want to be involved in the work...? I think.

The above is just a rumor, though, since no official details have been announced.

@kihel ah I think I read this yrs ago its coming back now shame it would be nice tonhave all the original voices back oh well seems like it still did well. I can't wait to watch it one day. does this end the series bring closure or is there more movies

If the film does well at the box office, maybe a short story will be made as a prequel... Well, two novels have already been distributed as a bonus for the first week of the movie. I suppose the content of those could be adapted to film.

And obviously, there was a story that was cut from the movie in detail due to time constraints.
