Who do you think loved Makoto more? Sekai or Kotonoha? Feel free to provide why you think one liked Makoto more than the other in the comment section. If you feel a different character other than Sekai or Kotonoha loved Makoto the most, knock yourself out, and feel free to say so. I would love to know what the community thinks of this question.

If you gotta cope hard asf and make excuses to someone constantly cheating on you and have them destroy your mental state, AND YOU STILL GET BACK WITH THEM AFTER ALL THAT SHIT! Then it's a no-brainer that Kotonoha loved Itou more than Sekai. Especially when she ended up killing Sekai when she didn't have to, plus was still holding onto the asshole's decapitated head in the end scene. Kotonoha has my biggest sympathy out of any anime character I've ever seen. School Days is the only media I've watched where it actually made me sick to my stomach over how much of a scumbag Itou was and just how sorry I felt for the girl.

Kotonoha was the only decent human character in this anime...at least till the last episode.

tbf, she DIDN'T know that he was cheating on her until very late, she thought that he doesn't approach her as much because she's not ready to go " far " with him

school days is funny piece of media, the main reason why people hate it is because the Characters are awful human beings ( other than kotonoha ), however after playing the VN they're also bad Characters lol

After thinking about it, this is kinda tricky but I'd still say Kotonoha.
Sekai's love was passionate but lacked depth. While Kotonoha's love was pure but also quite shallow.
However, the key difference is the level psychotism exhibited by each character, which is directly correlated to their amount of love.

It takes a real psycho to repeatedly stab an ex to death, but it takes a complete nutjob to mutilate not one but two corpses because of your "love" for someone

I can't hate Makoto as a character, because karma caught up to him eventually.
This series is overheated.

Obviously, Kotonoha geniuenly loved him, while Sekai was just an immature brat wanting Makoto for herself and expecting him to be on her beck and call.
