| maybe because Dororo is a little kid he thought she should grow up in safety not constantly following him around. It also opens up the possibility for a sequel set a few years later where the two reunite. The ending gave me strong sequel bait vibes. |

| In the original manga Hiyakkimaru left to hunt remaining ghouls (there were like 50 of them total), but once his quest was done, he reunited with her. |

No, i just checked the last episode.
It is as i remembered, grown up Dororo run toward Hyakkimaru at the bridge.
Its just a flash of second, i can see people might not see it or consider its just Dororo's imagination.
I take it as it is and its a good ending to me.

| @Raajdeep It ends just like you said in the OP, with Hyakkimaru leaving Dororo to go slay demons. It's abrupt and unsatisfying. |

| All I got from the ending was that the writer really had no proper idea how to end the whole thing. Pointlessly killing people, people randomly showing up for finale, maybe set up the sequel or not, there was way too much going on for one episode. The only part I liked in the last episode was the Hyakkimaru's father's regret and realization at the end. In-fact, the show could've ended there and it would've been good enough. |
