A day of rejoicing for the rebranding of Namidome Industries...if only Kataoka didn't stoop in to overwhelm Tetsuro about a grave issue.

An uploading of a wrong file, Tetsuro gravely uploaded a video where it got out in the wild, and the general public isn't supposed to learn about the Giant Beasts roaming on Ryugan Island, so much that it becomes a blunder. The reason for absolute secrecy is that the islanders want their island back, and it would not be good if authorities settle there and leave the island out of order. This is a call out to their sponsor of Shiota Chemical to clear out the air, and that issue...isn't so much a travesty as it's thought to be in the crisis management of things. Even if it's a lie in business tradings, love or hate Kataoka, he's the perfect one suited for business dealings like this. Even to the Ryugan citizens who want their island back fast, it's mounting pressure for Namidome to please them, not even a kowtow from Tajima would suffice.

Tetsuro, who got docked out of a week's unpaid leave, Muto comes in to console him, even as he contemplates resignation this early in his working life. The young engineer who has life laid out for him by designing Bullbuster, he wants to exude positvity, but reality hits him down in his face, he wants to abandon it all. But Muto instills courage within, and it's only up to Tetsuro to make his move, even as the costs rack up in the small company. Even the young people of Ryugan Island feels like they're living the tails off of Namidome trying to change the island, but a ray of hope from Tajima that the gas emitted was from some unknown substance that is exactly what the Giant Beasts are producing, it may be instinct, but it's good instinct.

A sighting of a Giant Beast on the island, Nikaido goes to confront it...but it's at her former home of all places, afraid to push the trigger. What has gotten into Nikaido?

When she hesitated to shoot the beast, I thought I saw a mark on it leading to the reason she couldn't shoot it.

The preview seems to prove my assumption correct.
The line below is True.
The line above is False.

Interesting see to the lowest point of the story early on, everything just doesn’t work out, but now that it's reaching the middle point, everything starts looking better. I wonder if the story will go into another downward trend with the revelations of the truth and the backstory.

Getting bored of this Anime, the constant money pinching from that bald manager is killing the mood of the show.
Also the annoying emo pink hair girl that always grumpy also ruins the mood of the story.

Though it was an accident, he almost let their secret mission spill to the public but the DISINFORMATIONdamage control was successful.
Is this Okino's Bright Slap/Mustn't run away moment?
Tajima thinks he has a eureka moment and is bold enough to make a promise to the islanders.
How does his theory that the beasts make with the gas meld with one of the beasts being Nikaido's pet dog? What was the cause of the wild beasts if not gas and how could it be prevented again?

After the video blunder in this episode I have a hard time believing that high-level authorities in Japan and elsewhere are unaware of the pests and unknown gas on the island.

They packed quite a lot in this episode. And I love the balance between the "company part" of the story and the supernatural, mysterious "monster part".

I'm suprised Okino is actually an introvert. He really put up a good act as the "optimistic, slightly dense protagonist."

Kataoka was pretty cool too. He might be really harsh on everyone, but he just wants the best for the company and did a good job saving them during the meeting with the parent company.

The ending was really scary. It seems Nikaidou believes the beast is actually her dog? That would mess up Tajima's optimistic instinct of the beasts producing the gas though. Unless something else on the island creates the beasts. And a newly built plant just screams to be such a thing...

Anyway, it seems the protagonists are on a lucky streak, as this small beast seems perfect to caputre alive!

Most of the episode was pretty meh. Last bit looks decent leading into the next episode. I assume it is correct that the beasts are creating the gas but something else is creating the beasts and as I mentioned previous episode it might even be people doing it to clear out the island.

I was thinking the same thing. The bald boss guy isn't a funny character he's just annoying and I want to see him die a gory death.

Better than expected so far. It actually isn't just about stupid combat. Also not only with focus on the chars mainly. (That was what I had expected.) Kinda feels like an anime to a management/combat game ... something like X-Com mixed with a bit more of an economics part of a managment simulation lol.

And with a lot of stuff outsourced - instead of having an own research facility they give their animals to that other guy for research. Surely they will capture the transformed dog alive now. Smaller than the usual monsters. Maybe this will even get them some money?

The whole thing with the parent company + the villagers and their organization ... felt a bit too much lol. Weird to not have almost 2 full episodes withoug fighting and then the last scenes only with the girl without the mecha.

That one looks small enough to be captured alive and find out if they produce this "gas".

When tajima was giving his explanations about the gas and the beasts, I always thought SINCE THE BEGINNING that the beasts were the ones creating the gas, so them thinking that the gas created the monsters is just ridiculous.

@Sami_Cxm
What's ridiculous about it?
Given the low amount of information that was shared about the mysterious gas itself (emissions, concentration on the island etc.) both scenarios seem reasonable guesses to me.

I actually enjoy it quite a bit. Was hesitant because the rating was so so low but I like it so far. But I have to say the monsters look horrible.
