| I've started watching the anime, and it seems pretty average in terms of production. I can't see any faults with it other than the obnoxious shoutyness of the protagonist. Yet there's a massive score difference between this and the manga (especially on anime-planet). Anyone know why? |
| I remember watching the anime years ago and thinking it was quite meh myself. Then I decided to try the manga last year and had a lot more fun. Can't say exactly why, but I felt the characters had more depth and that I could feel more empathy towards them. But again, I watched the anime years ago and it was only season one, so maybe it was just my tastes that changed? Dunno |

From what I remember the anime follows the manga very closely, except for the ending of season 2. The manga's story just goes on for longer than the anime and has the opportunity to show more stories. In general, manga scores just tend to be higher than their anime counterparts.
