Sequel announced!

Yeah, it would be ridiculous if they didn't have a sequel in the works after the way they ended the show. I'm super excited for this, Bandori's getting really interesting with this new wave.

@uutakuubi After MyGo it was obvious that AM would get its own anime as well, but I don't understand why it's framed as a sequel. Ave Mujica will not be the protagonists of their show?

@RobertBobert they should be the protagonists and MyGO!!!!! as supporting characters. Just like this season but reversed.

If you don't watch my go you will not understand the crychic events that made the 2 girls of that band creating a new one.

yes, that is what I also thought about. It's the direct sequel where Ave Mujica will be the MCs instead of MyGO and the story will also be focusing more on Ave Mujica. And, MyGO will be the supporting casts instead.

First season: focused on MyGO, whereas Ave Mujica was just forming their band
Second season: focus more on Ave Mujica
third season(if possible, who knows): focus on both of them

@AkeZZZ It's this setup that confuses me, because with the show being positioned more as a sequel to MyGo than the Ave Mujika show, they could make the latter just the villains of the arc like they did with the RAS season in the original show.

Nothing to be confused about, same story, and the same timeline, just the first one was focusing on MYGO and then the second will be focusing more on Ave Mujica. Or, the story will be told from the Ave Mujica side instead of MYGO .

You know that MYGO and Ave Mujica are in the same story and same timeline right?
In my opinion, they shifted the main characters from MYGO towards Ave Mujica because both of them are the main bands and they also wanted to focus on both of them.

@AkeZZZ Once again, I know it's the same story. I'm just afraid they might repeat the RAS/Abyssmare trick and make them arc villains with increased focus but still focus on the "faces". Unless MAL simply overestimated the anime's status as a sequel.

As there was the word sequel in the announcement.

For the story, as it is an original story, no one knows what Ave Mujica will play out. We just knew only it will be focusing on them. But will they be the 'villainess'? or will they be just a normal rival? Or whatever. No one knows about it.
