Every season of 2023 has had awesome off-brain, diabetes, dopamine inducing romcom shows like The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible and The Dangers in My Heart.

Shows like these give me actual jolts of butterflies compared to serious romance ones.

God bless shows like these especially Shion Wakayama's VA performance on Mie-san.

I love all those shows you mentioned. Tons of honey-like romcoms for me are ok. I'm diabetic since I was a little kid, so no problem, I have plenty of insulin 😗

What? How?

How can you enjoy or have any kind of emotion invoked, by watching this cheesy mess of a story, that is build around ONE gimmick xD There's nothing there. It's: "This girl needs her glasses to see. I love her, for some reason". That is essentially the story. Without her loosing her glasses EVERY DAY there wouldn't be "romance" or a Show, for that matter....

I get it, it's escapism. But it's just badly written dialogue and a blind girl stumbling into randomly interacting with the Mc, for weird and plot convenient reasons over and over and over and over agaaaaaaaaaaaain xD What's cute about that? Is that the bar? Maybe I just don't get it...

I do agree -> These kinda shows pop up every season....and it's painful, for me.

I don't know about it being sweet. Komura gives me creepy vibes how he's obsessed with Mie. It's mostly unhealthy.

Bro when you love someone you care about them and think about them all the time. He really cares for Mie and it is obvious she cares for him back. I haven't seen a single thing in this show where I have even been close to saying that it is creepy or weird, nothing Komura does is bad. Also for the moments when he gets nervous because he is holding something Mie owns or accidently touches her or her belongings, the dude is a 3rd year in fucking middle school who is just hitting puberty. Were you never a child, it is normal for someone to act that way around the person they like or love in Komura's case especially at that age
