I’m so glad we’re finally beyond this forced labor arc, because even though it makes sense for Tendo to relapse into mindless obedience, I just grew increasingly aggravated with him for it. More specifically, ignoring Shizuha being harassed by the Chief. I feel like it’s just a reversal of his character: Tendos gotta make up for it in the future.

I agree entirely. I feel like it took away his will to live once more, and he let it happen. There needs to be some kind of Redemption imo 😕😕

yeah I'm glad it passed fast. still I'm sure it's not the last time we see the Chief. he seems to be like Zom100s version of Walking Deads 'The Governor '.

i wouldn’t say it’s a reversal. he never got over being exploited with his own will; the zombie apocalypse just happened. i’m glad the plot didn’t forget about akira’s boss and trauma, as he would be nothing more than a lucky guy.

he was not afraid of dying from zombies but afraid of his boss yeah that was beyond me didn't make any sense, like he forgot that he didn't need to obey them. that girl was over it very quick , she should've slap some senses into him

Honestly, I am really happy that Tendo was able to stand up to that jerk of a boss.
I loved how they all got out of there together, and all seamed closer!

can't wait for episode 8!!!!

It was for like an episode and a quarter, this is anything but an arc.

In the manga, it went on for 4 or so chapters.

I think this is kinda the point. ‘Being alive but not living is worse than death.’ Being that that’s what Tendo had been experiencing for years, he had some major trauma to overcome. As someone who’s had to overcome a similar (but nowhere near as drastic) type of trauma, I TOTALLY get his relapse. It would’ve made less sense if he was able to just move past it without any type of relapse/struggle. That being said any/everyone would be afraid of man eating zombies irl lol. But it’s an anime so, it’s going to be kinda ridiculous. It’s an absurd show for sure.

This "arc" only lasted one episode and a half. Stop overreacting.
Also how is it a "reversal of his character" when he never got over that trauma to begin with?

Just happy this is finally available with an English dub on Crunchyroll. Watched the first 4 episode twice and loved it. Opening and ending are both bangers as well.

Can't deny the fact but thinking logically, If You have watched the movie 'train to Busan' taking its concept makes me think that if the chief were to become a zombie he would make problems for tendo just like the villain did in the movie, these types of people just think about themselves in emergency criteria.
