Even with Niehime being an acclaimed manga by many people and having a dual core adaptation which is something that few anime have the opportunity to achieve. Niehime hasn't been much talked about by the community since the first trailers.
Niehime is not a bad show, on the contrary, most people who talk about this anime say they like it a lot (like me). The animation is average but the story, voice acting and directing have been the anime's greatest strengths, even with the lack of animation the scenes still have impact.
I agree that the age difference and "Beauty And The Beast" theme makes many people turn away from this anime, but it's still weird that people aren't talking about in my opnion.

Sorry I didn't mean to be rude or anything like that, I agree that the age difference and romance with a furry character is weird for a lot of people and I don't deny that. But that doesn't change the fact that it's a manga that has been well talked about and it's a dual core adaptation which is something not every anime has the opportunity to earn that. I'm just surprised how this anime hasn't been talked about so much even with several factors that could lead to it becoming popular.
You don't have to like me and you have the right to disagree with me, but don't need to act so rude against me, I just wanted to know if anyone felt that this anime is underated like me.

Hey, man. Don't listen to that other dude. That's his schtick and he'll get banned soon enough. You do whatever makes you happy.

Personally, I wasn't really feeling the main characters after episode 1. I know people like main girl's "gives no fucks" attitude, but it kinda irked me, and I wasn't interested in the king. I much preferred Tale of Outcasts that aired in Winter.

Thank you helped me feel better after the hate I received, I agree that in the first few episodes the king didn't seem that interesting, I really liked Sariphi and her character development is what I have liked the most about the anime so far.
I watched Tale of Outcasts but I didn't really like the pacing of the story which took me away from the story, but I respect your opinion.

I watched a few eps and it was ok, but I got out of the way of watching anime for a couple weeks and this was one that I just couldn't find the motivation to take up again so it's kinda on hold for the foreseeable future. Like I said it was fine, but nothing special up until I stopped watching
(also yeah ignore that first guy đź’€)

It’s just not for everyone. Personally I fall into that category. Tired to watch a few episodes to give it a chance but didn’t like it at all.

I’m really loving it.
I agree it’s a shame not many people talk about it, but it isn’t that surprising considering it isn’t very flashy and that it aired in spring which was absolutely packed with high profile and quality shows, continuing to summer that has many popular sequels.

I hope more people will pick it up in time and maybe positive feedback and threads like this can help with that.

It's a furry, why would i even watch it? Kidding kidding.

Idk i've watched till ep 13 and honestly i don't really like sariphi. She's too much of a goody two shoes that it kinda puts me off. And most of the characters don't really like her attitude either. But in a way, it's kind of admirable to see her not break down or give in to despair despite the kingdom's animosity towards her.

This feels a lot like mahotsukai no yome. But in a light mode i guess? Minus the weird creatures and phenomenon in mahoyome that makes me shiver in fear. They're pretty much the same.

And i liked stuff like magics and familiars in this anime more than the romance itself. The romance is fine, just not quite my thing. They're cute though. So that's a plus i guess.

i like the show, not extremely good with amazing animation and soundtrack like some big titles but definitely worth the watch.
I thibk the cover is the one to blame, idk, it just looks so cheap and boring compared to the actual show...

I agree with you man, I absolutely adore this anime, I read the whole manga and the anime so far has been an excellent adaptation, idk why people are complaining about the animation, I personally think the animation is really nice, the style suits it well, and the music is great. The characters are easily the strongest point for me, and the rich worldbuilding and lore is super appealing to me, tbh it's one of the best new shoujo adaptations we've gotten in years and it sucks seeing people put it down because "lol furry" like will y'all please get your heads out of your asses, not every piece of media with anthro characters is fucking furry

The anime was not what I expected. But I didn't dislike it. It was still a fine anime. Then again, for my taste, it was a bit too calm. Even with the fighting, the anime didn't feel that exciting to me. It more or less felt like a visualized fairy tale. It had a few emotion-catching moments I really liked. But not enough of these moments for 24 episodes.

Not the type of anime people make hype threads about, but it was really enjoyable.
