The one manipulating the broom was a single lovely girl, clad in black robe and a tricorne
while her ashen hair shook in the wind.
Just who in the world was that girl who possessed such beauty
that if there were people around, anyone turn their heads in awe.
That's right, It’s me.
!!! Walls of text incoming !!!
Things I like :
1) I'll just say this outright and if you feel disgusted feel free to mock me. I like kataokasan's works. And i'm not telling you to like it too. Just keep that in mind and don't bring it up in case you don't like it.
2) I like villainess trope. Maybe because i've read way too much of it. But i like the idea of showing how the villainess is not necessarily a bad person.
3) Battle shonen is my go to genre. It lifts my heart and encourages me to be brave. I like this genre despite it being generic at times. But you know, keeping things simple is not necessarily a bad thing.
4) I like h-doujins, so feel free to drop six digits nuclear code on me. Weirdly enough i don't watch / read ecchi anime and manga all that much.
5) I rarely read light novels but i like hikikomari and majo no tabitabi. I read them once a few months everytime a new volume drops. Feel free to give me recommendations of ln similiar to those two.
Well, don't recommend me kino no tabi though. I liked the anime (both remake and og) but not the novel.
Things I hate :
1) Do not ever bring up the name "chi no wadachi" i despise that manga from the depths of my heart. The mother disgusts me and i don't even want to be reminded of it.
2) There are rarely any moments in anime where i feel any semblance of disgust. I liked danmachi season 5 a lot. Not because of the plot twist, but because of bell not losing heart despite the odds against him. Bell was always timid and cowardly but this season shows how much he's grown over time. Mind you, this white rabbit hasn't even been an adventurer for a year and yet he's grown rapidly. But enough about bell, i felt disgust when i see freya. I'm not even aroused, it's just disgusting. After the plot twist at season 5 i am truly disappointed in her. Despite the many times her familia helped him, freya truly threw everything away just to get bell.
Now don't get me wrong, i don't hate season 5. It's just that characters like freya is something i hate the most. Depending on how the author handle it, it can actually be something that makes me like the series. I like danmachi season 5 and as a villain freya is terrifying. But as a character? Nah, get her away from me. I may be a degenerate but holy hell, what she said to ryu at season 5 was just disgusting.
3) This goes without saying but in case if you like gore and amputee, please don't talk about it with me. I feel uncomfortable and don't like such things. I've told this with my irl friends but they told me that i'm just being a tsundere and deep down i'm just hiding it. Tsundere your a**, i don't like gore stop making things up. People misunderstood me irl, i don't want it to happen online too. Please respect my boundaries.
4) I don't like baki. Now you might be wondering why since jojo is on my list. But, baki is just too much for me. Baki character design is just inhuman. Those things aren't muscles.... it's an abomination.
5) I don't mind genderbend or crossdressing but i don't like yaoi. Something like Banana Fish is as far as i go. I don't actively seek for yaoi and me reading or watching it is like drawing a lottery. Hikaru shinda ga natsu is something i found out by chance. I enjoyed the few first chapters without even knowing there's yaoi in it. The horror aspect of it is fine but really i can't read through the yaoi part of it. So i don't think this genre is for me.
Chapter 9 of Volume 4, Where Amnesia had the difficult choice of killing Rudela. To me, that changed the tone a lot more than Estelle's time travel chapter
Sorry, I watch Saint Seiya Soul of Gold these days and it was so funny when one of the episodes started with Aries Muu’s attack! XD
Hello there!
Preferences on anime (or in general) is really a matter of personal tastes, so I do not use to watch series or read manga based on certain opinions of others.
I have honestly concluded about myself that I find attractive shows the general audience doesn’t.
Regarding the Lost Canvas series, there are many positive reviews indeed written by many SS fans, talking about it’s appealing designs, the characters or plot. Personally, for some reason, I wasn’t hooked up even though I actually made an effort to complete it, but finally dropped it after having watched about 10 episodes. I had an old friend during my high school years, to whom I suggested the SS francise and she really liked the Lost Canvas series. So, give it a try and let me know! ^-^
You have a good point about SS Omega, the target audience is actually for younger ages and I don’t mind it at all. I actually liked it and it was interesting for me to see the good old Bronze Saints in the new era reverted legendary Saints older and cooler plus a bit freshed up for the new audience! It was kinda cool in my opinion. But OK of course it’s not better than the original storyline. It was interesting though to see the future of their story and new characters introduced as Bronze Saints.
I was happy to find the mini series Knights of the Zodiac on Netflix. It was fun to watch really!
It was a good marketing move introducing the series to a bigger audience.
Well these are the SS movies I’ve watched below. (all of them recommended ofc)
Saint Seiya: Legend of Crimson Youth
Saint Seiya: The Heaven Chapter - Overture (I loved this one)
Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary
Saint Seiya: Evil Goddess Eris
Wow your father is a fan, this is cool! :)
My parents did not watch anime back then, only my mom told me when she was young, she used to watch sometimes on TV Heidi, Girl of the Alps and that’s it! :P
I love Saint Seiya!
It’s always a pleasure sharing thoughts about it! ☺️
Ikki is my favorite Saint from the series too actually!
That man is the knight in shining armor coming to your resque indeed!
He is the first anime character that breaks your mind and loops you into an illusion with your deepest fears with just a single punch!
Hoo Gennma Ken!!!! XD
Hideyori's voice is out of this world!
My second favorite Saint is his younger brother Shun, due to his contrast personality and good balance!
I 've got a figure of Andromeda Shun and I really love this character!
I was in shock when I heard his voice in Japanese.
I thought he was a woman when I first found this character!
Oh well! :P
The next chapter after Hades arc is the first Spin-Off mini series called Saint Seiya Soul of Gold.
I'm currently watching this one!!! This Spin-Off focuses on the Gold Saints and the events take place during the last sub-arc of the Hades Arc. It also won’t hurt to watch it after Movie 5 as the events of the Hades Arc will still be fresh in your mind.
Soul of Gold is fully completed, a total of 13 episodes.
The next is Lost Canvas Saint Seiya which I have watched but did not like at all. I dropped it LOL
I found it boring. Plus it was not completed. The manga storyline is only complete.
Lost Canvas takes you back to the previous Holy War, prior to events that occurred in the original Saint Seiya anime. Meaning that you’ll be introduced to a new set of characters, though many of them look very similar to those in the original Saint Seiya anime.
After all these, there are series like Saint Seiya Omega which's story is based also after the events of the original series. I've watched this one and I actually liked it more than Lost Canvas. (this is my personal opinion ofc)
Saint Seiya Saintia Sho which is focused on the female Saints during the original story line which train in order to be capable warriors of Athena (I do not intent to watch it) and last but not least the Saint Seiya mini series called Saint Seiya Knights of the Zodiac which is a CGI remake 10 episodes series based on the original storyline and characters.
Yeap, will do! ^_^
Well I remember I stopped watching Bleach some episodes after Rukia's safely returned back and saved from death sentence thanks to Ichigo!
It was trully fun to watch and made me laugh lots of times! xD
Saint Seiya has a special place in my anime list!
It's actually a part of my teenage years because I was like 15-16 years old when I found this francise and watched it and the movies as well!
Yeah.. I avoid BL and GL titles.. this is one of those scenarios where real-life preferences influence entertainment choices.. Being straight-male-heterosexual, those titles dun incite any interest..
Lmao, now I am surprised you are actually talking about it at length after you finished it almost a month ago and it was bad.
I looked at your profile with a blank mind and strangely I remembered watching the first episode of that anime so I said something, but instantly thought this was not the best topic to break ice with something so forgettable xD
I forgot about Tokyo 24 ku anime that I see you finished a while ago. I didn't know that it's mean score is so low. I remember watching the first episode when it started airing and I thought it would be good but never checked again how it went until just now.
