| Hmm, it's kinda interesting how the Queen views other characters from her point of view. Sariphi is also being helpful and took a risk to save a friend, something I'm not even slightly surprised by. I love their little embrace in the air that felt like a magical moment. This was quite a wholesome episode. |

| If Queen Calra woudn't allow Sariphi to hold Calcara, her fourth daughter Tetra is even worse, treating her like a slave in the angry view of Cy and Clops. Regardless, try all Tetra can, but it seems that Sariphi is just having fun, she just treats it like child's play. On the topic of a mother's love to her own children, Tetra knows that she's an unwanted child in the presence of the boy Calcara, the heir whom the kingdom was waiting for. Her last straw being to attempt suicide in front of everyone, Sariphi is not afraid to comfort her, even when her mother the Queen was at her worst. The string of Sariphi's coincidence to save Tetra, she really means the best for her, and bestows her with blessing. Queen Calra sees this as affection and gives way to Sariphi doing the sacred rite for Calcara. Though Tetra has an interest in Anubis, Sariphi thinking of starting a family with Leo, that's a challenge in and of itself. And with Leo poses the question to her, though he came off his own family bloodline that like Tetra, he was the unwanted child because of his half-human, half-beast hard love that his father has to unwillingly pass to him on the verge of his death. The accursed blood that he now holds, when passed onto a future heir, it's a painful curse, though turned into a blessing because he chose her. The promise of an accursed king with his servant queen, it's a marriage of two kindred hearts, and that's wholesome to top it up with a genuine kiss. Sariphi's first duty is completed, and shall she rest for now. A good 1st Cour run, looking towards the 2nd Cour with ease. |

| Probably the best Niehime episode so far. Tetra and Sariphi’s heart to heart conversation was so sweet. “I’m glad you were born, so I could meet a girl as kind as you”. Sariphi just knows exactly what to say and when to say it to everyone lol. But, wow. Leo’s backstory was really sad. I’m guessing his mom either left or died and it left his father so heartbroken that he just started cursing all humans. It’s clear that he still loved Leo, but just had a messed up way of showing it. I liked the juxtaposition of Calra’s relationship with Tetra and the previous king’s relationship with Leo. Both loved their kids, but weren’t perfect and made some mistakes. “One day we’ll consummate our marriage” oof, how lewd lol Damn, Sariphi out here caked up  |

| I love this show so much. It’s my favourite anime airing from the spring/summer season. This episode made me tear up a little at the end with sarpihi and Leo’s incredibly wholesome talk. One thing I really want to see is sariphi and Leo go to the human realm and maybe have like some kind of date together (Obviously in Leo’s human form). I also hope they kiss while in human form that would be adorable to see. I also really hope Anubis comes to accept sariphi. I’m guessing he will considering a few beasts already accept her like the ones in the most recent episode. |
| I teared up how Sariphi held Tetra after catching her...and damn I nearly teared up again when Leonhart gave that speech to Sariphi about how not being able to choose the family he was born into but being able to choose her. I also increasingly think his mom died. Possibly giving birth to him or possibly protecting him as a baby. The previous king could have been pained by seeing him because he reminds him of her especially when in human form and he blamed him for her death which is why he said he hated him. Another fitting scenario I can think of is some beasts killed her quite brutally and it was the beast side of Leo that is hated not his human side, a sort of self loathing and bitterness which would make better for a plot twist than the other scenario. |

| Sariphi truly experienced what it's like to be abandoned by her mother. Her painful experiences made her a stronger person and she's able to keep helping out others. Tetra's motherless behaviour self was lowkey annoying but she grew on me and I loved the bonding between the girls. One family issue solved, time to dig deeper into the kings past who experienced no fatherly love. Surely, him and Sariphi will be better parents. |

| Emotional episode. Makes you wonder what kind of human Leo's mother was. Considering how human girls were sacrificed during the reign of Leo's father, won't be surprised if the king made one of the sacrifices pregnant but then got rid of her shortly after Leo's birth. Judging by Leo, the king was a POS, so it will also not be surprising if he blamed mom for "seducing him" or some similarly twisted shit. It makes sense why king would hate Leo. Don't think it's simply because he turns human sometimes. This POS must truly be blaming the unfortunate human girl. I wonder what would be sadder though, Leo being product of rape, or maybe his mom was like Sari who fell in love with the king but met a dark fate (killed/eaten by the king). Leo isn't dumb so he should've solved this 2+2 equation. It makes perfect sense why he'd then go to such troubles (as far as scarring himself) to save human girls offered as sacrifices. p.s Anubis, bro, stop being a stubborn pos. It should be crystal clear by now that Sari is pure of heart and she isn't manipulating people into liking her. |
