MAL says its 47 min per episode?

is that really the case ? or is this like a mistake i dont remember the last double lenght anime we got but i am sure they dont exist in 2023 or is this really one of them?

some anime like isekai seikishi monogatari did have all episodes having double length , its possible this might be one of them?

Yeah gotta be a mistake. I don't see why it would be necessary for all the episodes past this one to continue being this long. It's a fairly simple story that can be fully adapted in 11 more standard episodes.

They average the episodes. Just look at kimetsu no yaiba and oshi no ko. They take how many minutes all the episodes have and divide by the number of episodes, as for now there is only one of 47 minutes, it that's how it turned out.

I think MAL often does this so people's stats will reflect what they've watched for the first episode but then switch it to 26 minutes or whatever is reasonable once another episode airs and it doesn't make sense to update the episode length every episode just for the averages to work out to the full product week by week.

MAL is pretty slow on the update. But they will fix it normal 24min length and add in "background" regarding ep 1.

It's only for the first episode that is double length. The rest of the episodes will have a normal runtime of 24 minutes.

BS11 on their timetable page has it listed as being in a half hour timeslot, so the 47 minute part is just the first episode

No wonder why the first episode felt so long. I thought I was just so bored of it. But I'm glad it's only the first episode that's so long like that. Also hopefully the show gets better with more epsiodes
