Okay this was great. It had everything. It had the tragic era appropriate backstory, actual boxing tactics, and a special move that was not a super power and looked super painful to pull off. I was worried about this series but I am all in and have high hopes it keeps this level of hype because I believe in its hit potential.

I like the zoom punch mechanic, it's a fun way to expand on an outboxing style. however, the proportions and anatomy is so bad all across the board. I can't tell if the big arm is supposed to be extra long or not because that's not how muscle training works, and MC-kuns legs are so stubby. I don't know if this is supposed to be an off the walls series where the only limits are your imagination or if it's a grounded historical series surrounding the sad history of starving sickly war orphans.

This chapter felt a little more promising than the last ones not counting the first ofc.

The current opponent seems to be the early shonen enemy turned ally cliche which is worrying since they already showcased his backstory and this fight will probably be done in the next 1-2 chapters.

I think the manga can go for a few more volumes on its aesthetic and premise alone but it seriously needs to find its footing as a sports drama quick. Paying for the sister's treatment is a nice motivator at first but there's only so far you can go with just that, so i hope they introduce some kind of big rival or tournament our mc can work towards.

Also giving the yakuzas a little bit more of characterization aside from being rowdy and wacky is a must, they're kind of just background characters rn
