I was stunned too by the disturbing storylines, especially the one where the Stokes expert's son killed himself, and his friend pretty much made him kill himself. Not to mention that she even had him have sex with her even though they're kids!! My favorite case had to be the Mao/ Dive D case because of how interesting the subliminal messaging of the music and the Mao drink made people go crazy. I agree that the end could have been better, but I still enjoy the hell out of it.

Yo, Danny!! Jiraishin was such an awesome manga!! I was expecting it to be pretty dark, but man, that was something else. So far the best thing I've read this year along with Black Angles and Kyou Kara Ore Wa.

An eight for the OVA... nice. I enjoyed it greatly, but I suspect my derived enjoyment was of slightly different nature to yours.

Yeah, he sure loves the realistic 3D renders. I also miss the way he drew heads exploding lol. It looks like a mushroom cloud exploded in a dude's head.

Oh, I see lol. Sounds cool, but I'm a little hesitant because It could be like when Riki-Oh fought that cyborg in the arena or could be garbage.

I feel like he's trying to make his modern works more like an American comic book without having any color. I also like some of the comedic moments with his older stuff.

Oh yeah, I agree, the manga kinda of overstates its welcome. I agree with the no main villain or threats, I wish that there were main villains like Iron Kiba and Gracia like in the original. The villains in here were a bit boring and unoriginal, the only villain I liked was Jet Naito because he was interesting and creative. Saruwatari was running out of gas and was just throwing random ideas out. I like the art, I think it fits the grittiness it was trying to be, but I prefer Saruwatari's 80s and 90s manga style way more.

Tough 2 is good but not as good or exciting as Tough 1. The fights are still great, creative, and has the fighting psychology I always look for in a fighting/martial arts manga...but the story after Hyber Battle with the introduction of the Yugenshinkageryu Clan and Kakugo Kasakabe was very lackluster and boring to say the least. Overall, I still enjoyed Tough 2 and I was happy to see Chosho come back.

As far as Tough 1 goes, I haven't checked to see if there have been any new scans. I hope that it does finish one day.

They pretty much live at the studio and only get 3 hours of sleep, If you're working for a monthly magazine It'd be a bit better but still not the most healthy way of life.

Oh yeah, some look amazing, crisp and clean, and others are so low quality it's like I'm going blind lmao.
