Though it's American-owned. Either way, it makes sense why MAL wouldn't consider volume 2 anime enough to include it, since 8/9 episodes are made by studios from other countries, like India, France, Korea, etc. |
| When Visions S1 dropped it kind of took over the anime community for a brief while. Even people outside of the Star Wars community talked about it. But for S2 I didn't even know it was out until much later. In fact, I didn't even see anyone talking about it. I barely knew it even existed. While watching the first episode I could notice the lip sync didn't match with the Japanese voice and the comments here confirm it. Most of the episodes weren't animated by anime studios. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge Star Wars fan. I only watched the original trilogy and couldn't finish The Phantom Menace because of how boring it was. I only watched Visions S1 because it was anime and it was short. So S2 not being anime is a bit of a bummer for me. I didn't watch any of the trailers for S2. So I had no idea about this. I wanted to see sequels to some of the stories of S1. Guess that's not happening. Still, it's kind of dumb that MAL didn't list S2 in their database. Even if it's by Western studios, it's still a sequel to S1 which was anime. And I'm sure you can find tons of exceptions of non-Japanese anime whether full or partial on this site if you dig long enough. And it's not like modern anime is fully Japanese. Most of them outsource their animation to different people around the world. So this is a bit hypocritical. |
