Don't mind the spoilers.
Does everyone feel bad that Haruhime doesn't know she isn't a prostitute, does anyone later tell her (In Anime or LN) that she isn't? Because of that reason, she thinks very low of herself.

Yeah for whatever reason they decide not to tell her.
It really doesn’t matter because Bell saved her from that type of lifestyle and is now a part of the Hestia familia.

They don’t tell her in the anime. They decide she already is at peace with her identity. At least not in the anime

Oh so she knows she isn't a prostitute I am glad about that. but I still don't get why they hide the fact she isn't a virgin that makes no sense lmao.

It's irrelevant.
That arc was literally the worst in the whole series and this whole "she is still a virgin, actually" was a complete asspull just like everything that happened in that arc.

Yeah the only first four episodes were good in my opinion but this whole prostitute and whore land arc is ass and just leaves a bad taste.

Well I was planning on reading the LN after I finish the season 4.
I guess I'll look into this arc but I don't know how the LN is going to make this arc better but let's see.

I just recently read the LN because I wanted to get back into this series for season 4 and omg it actually blew me away. I have a whole new love for Danmachi now. I’m caught up on the novels now and when season 5 comes omg it’s going to be crazy, brace yourself.

I think the reason for aisha not telling her is only to make her out to be a spiteful prostitute despite her care for haruhime, you know, keeping in character. Some people over-analyze when they say that it's because she wanted their resolve to not be in vain, but meh, I still think she's just being a bitch.

When bell's knife destroys her barrier, she'll find out anyways. I bet that's what aisha thought too.

I don't mind that virgin twist, I think it's better that way, but I can see how some might find it too cheap and corny.

Can you tell me a little more about the barrier because I think I missed that detail by not paying attention because I thought nothing was going to happen that much in the episode.

The second season of the anime is a bit of a dark horse compared to s1 and s3 which are both great - S2 has a bad habit of leaving out or phrasing details from the book badly - In Volume 7 it's delivered very differently with Aisha telling Bell directly and describing it, well heres part of the quote in the attached image.

So the point the book makes, is while never actually selling her body - It is in effect the same - For years she lived surrounded by prostitution, people taking about it constantly, being in lineups of other young women - Taking strange men to her room to sleep with them - She may retain virginity but even Bell gets to second base with her before she faints.

She was also effectively only a young teenager when all that started, all that would be plenty tramatising without actually finishing the act - So Aisha's feelings, which transition to Bell - Are that to Haruhime, she really was a prositute, all but a step away from the real thing and she certainly lived that lifestyle for years.
That is her reality and lived experience, and to try tell her otherwise would probabaly be more patronising than convincing - I believe the point of the book is about accepting her for the life she has lead, reminding her she still has value regardless of the road she's taken - Instead of trying to absolve her.

But of course S2 struggles to convoy most of this so I completely understand your frustration πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ‘

Yeah I agree, it’s a good anime adaptation for sure, but the books obviously convey the story much more clearly and in more detail.

Well if they told her, it’s unlikely that she would believe them, because she is so convinced that she did those things and is terrible for living such a life, that’s why she looks down on herself.

I think they decided to just convince her to live a new life, gaining confidence by finding meaning and joy from that, instead of depressing herself by dwelling on the past.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.
