Why would you watch a Prequel Spin-Off before the actual show... ?
Plus only 1 Episode has been released (It even did today) , so you still have a lot of time to watch the 2 Seasons + Movie.

I would say yes, but this series is way different than Konosuba in its comedy. It also seems way more focused on slice of life mundane stuff. You can technically dislike this and like Konosuba and vise versa since they are so different.

You can, it’s just the backstory of a character that’s in the original series.

You could but keep in mind later in the anime you'll be missing parts of it when they introduce the characters from the series right now all you know is what she wants to learn.

I haven’t read the light novels so I don’t know if there are any spoilers for the actual series, but all in all I would recommend just watching Konosuba first. It’s infinitely better from what has been adapted. I urge you to watch the original series because it really is amazing.

U kinda answered the question right there. It technically is a prequel so they definitely can watch it before watching the 2 seasons and film.
I personally wouldn’t bc it’s following Megumin and not Kazuma, and it would be better to get to know the characters before watching the spin-off. I think you’d appreciate the s”characterization more that way.

It's exactly because it's a Prequel that it shouldn't be watched first.

Prequels doesn't mean you have to watch it first or something like that , it means that it happens before the "Main" work , but was released after.
Most of the time , it's used as a simple mean to show a sad background or reveal a mystery.

As a Prequel , it expect you to already know the characters , the story and the world set in the Main work , and there is literally no point in watching this before the actual show.

As the people above said yes you can technically but i would reccommend you to watch atleast first season of main series if you really wanna watch this now to get the feel about the characters cuz this spin off follows Megumin only and after this ends watch the rest of konosuba if you want ofcourse

Again, I didn’t say that it means u SHOULD, I said that you CAN bc it is only connected to the main story by its characters. U won’t be missing anything from the main story and could watch it in chronological order.
I literally stated why I don’t think they should do it, but it is possible to watch it first and be fine.

Yeah , i got it.
But i'll ask again : Why would you do that ?

It wasn't meant to be , and if the Author had the time to incorporate this huge flashback in the Volumes of the main series , it wouldn't even have been a question in the first place. ._.

Ur saying that u understand but u don’t. I said already that I wouldn’t do it.
The fact of the matter is no matter which story was written first, this is a prequel which means it takes place before the LN story. And it seems from episode 1 that they reintroduced everyone that u need to know from the main story in this. We aren’t talking abt a spin off epilogue, if he wants to watch this first it would hurt nothing. The series are wildly different anyways.
As long as he isn’t expecting Megumin to be the MC of the main story then it’s fine. He can enjoy it either way.

you can but I wouldn't. its more enjoyable if you already know the characters to begin with but I guess it doesn't really matter too much. it might not make a lot of sense as it obviously won't introduce you to the world and everything else but again, I suppose it doesn't matter too much. it just might be confusing to start off with

Well, you’re missing out on the superior series then. You’re better off skipping this and watch Konosuba instead because that has Kazuma and the gang, not just Megumin. This is just filler to keep us happy until season 3.

Yeah I would say Konosuba s1 s2 and the movie are far better than this so far. I think Kazuma is the key that makes the series shine. Hopefully Megumin spinoff gets funny.

I Have Started Watching The First Season, Watched 6 Eps And I Gotta Say...It Would Felt Weird If I Started With The Megumin Prequel/Spin-off Especially Not Seeing Kazuma,Aqua And Darkness

Kazuma is the star of the main series, but at least this series is about the 2nd best character (imo). It still seems kinda boring (tho I’m biased against any CGDCT style anime because I find ‘em boring), but I’ll give it a chance soon.
