I enjoy the anime, it's funny with some ecchi and love/romantic interests etc.
But every single anime, regardless of how much I enjoy it, immediately drops to around 5 out of 10 if they have recap or filler episodes in the first season.
Especially when they are still in single digits.

First-season anime with single-digit episodes that already do a recap/filler episodes, are bad. Change my mind. Anyone agree or not?

Hard agree. Recap episode gives animators a break, sure, but considering they just had a hiatus, this screams "help, we are underpaid and overworked"

I disagree. It is lazy on their part, but I would rate the anime as is without including the recap. It’s not the anime’s fault.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Actually no, like 4 or 5 of anime from this season went to hiatus because of Covid, this is the second pause for this one

why do we even have fillers on seasonal animes? isn't the point of seasonal animes NOT to have fillers?

at least skip the episode and don't let us have false hopes and let the animators rest

Guys relax. First of all it's not that serious just skip the episode of it bothers you, and secondly the recap is because the series went out hiatus and this is to refresh everyone on what happened. Not sure what the overaction is about.

This is what happens when the world didn't sanction China and let them run free when Covid spread...

Half of the anime industries are hit by mutated Covid and have no choice but to do Haitus.

Remember, most asian countries can't afford multiple Covids vaccines.

United States is already on the 5th or 6th NEW Covid vaccine... (boosters)

China just released a new mutated Covid like a month ago that's apparently immune to the first 3 Covid vaccine. This happened cause of Chinese New Year and bunch of Chinese people travels and group up together that spread Covid like wild fire.

(most asian countries are on the "2nd vaccines" that United States had... so asian countries are lagging FAR behind in vaccine updates)

___ ___ ___

Just be glad that the Haitus isn't a Perma... and the episodes will return at a later date. (about 2+ weeks, cause most asian countries still have their isolation rules as 14 days or so, United States is on 3 to 5 days now, cause US have newer vaccines)

If United States isn't rich and can't afford multiple vaccines, movies and lots of video games would probably be on Haitus as well. (as shown during the first year of Covid, that most movie studio had to take time off, imagine if they still have to do that...)

@amlg

a lot of anime studios outsource anime production to chinese (or korean) animation studios that's why those anime are hitted by covid. And possibly anime industry bubble starting to burst.

As for "sanctioning China" I'm not sure what you are mean by that but bro... world economy would collapse in day or two.
Manga recommendation:
- Spy x Family (Ch.109/? - biweekly) | Sakamoto Days (Ch.196/? - weekly)

The US is already on boosters five and six because it’s become a cash grab. Please don’t bring up bullshit here.

Pretty sure it has more to do with the economic downturn and how most companies are cutting a lot of stuff. Particularly white collar jobs.

Covid was worse a year and before ago but we didn't have these bad of delays.
