| I was going to pass this up as it seemed generic, but not being Isekai helped it. Good ol' fantasy romp with rpg elements. Not bad. Girls are cute too. |

| so far its going as i kind of expected it to. I'm not really expecting much as i don't personally set high standards for animes, especially isekai/fantasy types (I mean there is literally an isekai/reincarnation anime very week this season lol). |

| If you like the characters and like seeing them get together and maybe expect them to do something grandiose and heroic and whatever else, no. It's just gonna be our characters killing bandits and monsters and super tough world ending cataclysmic and so on bosses who never even get to hit our MC once after he kills them in one hit or whatever, it's basically no stakes, somewhat slice of life adventuring/doing guild quests I've read basically every isekai manga I could find translated so I know all that's coming in the next 5 years and there is NOTHING. Absolutely no development past the first 3-4 chapters (which means first 2 episodes) in all of them. Just killing some slimes this episode, some bandits next episode, two bigger slimes next episode and then at the end some super bad 1000 years 1000 dragons 1000 sword saint chuunin garbage or whatever super big-bad monster that dies from being hit once by our MC. This is every upcoming isekai. If you like the characters and the setting and want to see anything happening, you wont. This whole genre is incredibly disheartening, they're all as close to copy-pasted as they can be after the first 5 chapters / 2 episodes |

| I expected little and kept my hopes low. As result, I was left surprised, in the good sense of the word. I liked the show, definitely above average, but that's all it amounts to. As unfortunate as it is, to me it felt very surface level, only scratching the surface of what it could have been. We'll either get a 2nd season, arguably better, or a different anime that uses the same formula, for us to compare the two. It's definitely a curious idea, but has a lot to work on, before it turns in to an interesting idea. |
