He gives her a sense of relief and protection from all of her problems. In the beginning when she's by herself her eyes were sharp and aggressive. Once it started focusing in the romance only, it seems she was forgetting her goal and even though it was in an heart breaking way, the prince's servant (i forgot his name) made her remember the reason she was in the palace. The author gave reasons for every character to act the way they do and that's good cause you can understand their behavior, but I can't forgive that prince for doing that to Rangetsu.
If you have read volume 8 than you're probably hyped just like me ! That was the best part of the story!
I am all caught up with it. Actually, depending on your area, books a Million will sometimes have prereleases. I found volume 8 like a month before when it was supposed to release on amazon. I am so interested to see what will happen next. I saw a lot of bad reviews in the previous forums for the manga and I'm flabbergasted. I also love Rangetsu's new outfit. I really want to cosplay her, but I don't know how to make costumes and you won't find any online. I hope when the manga is done releasing, they decide to make an anime for it. Though I doubt it as I've noticed none of the other works from Rei Toma have been adapted into an anime. I have noticed it getting some popularity from manga tiktokers though so maybe it'll get enough popularity to adapt. I personally believe some like 96Neko, she's mainly a utaite (Japanese singer) but she's also voice acted in an anime that she also sung the opening for. Watching said anime isn't going to help convince but if you listen to her, she has a very nice voice. I think she would be perfect for Rangetsu if they made it an anime. If they didn't use 96Neko, I think Romi Park (VA for Edward Elric and Hange Zoe) would be acceptable. I think 96Neko would be the best choice though. For Prince Tenyou I'm thinking someone like Hanae Natsuki (Kaneki Ken and Tanjiro) I don't think he's perfect, but he has that soft voice. I think Prince Tenyou would have a very soft voice.
I'm in Brazil so I have to wait the release on Amazon... I started reading it cause I liked the covers lol. And then I stayed for the characters and the story. I'd say there is a chance of it becoming an anime if the manga sells well. This is the first Rei Toma's manga I read, but I'm interested to see the other manga that is in the same world of The king's beast. When I'm reading I don't think about the voice, but now that you mentioned I think it'd be nice to have the Armin's Seiyuu (from AoT) as Rangetsu. Since Rangetsu is probably trying to sound like a man but still has a delicate complexion, Armin's voice would suit well. I never heard of 96Neko, but I'll definetly check it out. I think Romi Park's voice doesn't suit Rangetsu's personality but I might be wrong cause she is a great seiyuu and can change her voice to suit the character. For Prince Tenyou, Hanae Natsuki seems perfect for the reasons you pointed.
