What do you think about the premise of Cote?

Just wanna know what Anime onlies think of classroom of the elite.

Honestly I think the whole premise is kinda cringe/edgy and I did not like that Ayanokoji vs Ryuen fight, It kinda felt awkward to me.

im no English major but perhaps you mean that the anime is poorly adapted. because saying that it's cringe and after that saying that you like the LN is contradictory, since the anime is still based on the LN, even if it cuts parts off

it's not cringe because some parts are cut off, it's cringe because some characters are wrongly illustrated, especially ryuuen, who sucks in the anime.

LN is a masterpiece compared to the Anime. But 'Cote' is not a masterpiece. The people who call it a 'Masterpiece' surely haven't read any other books. I'd give cote a 7.8,9 rating. I AM a LN reader. Ain't biased towards the series.

I still don't understand why people say s1 is better than s2
s2 is more entertaining more enjoyable,
focuses on the story more and objectively has better moments.
i personally found the s1 a little bit bland.
it tried way too hard to hide the main story.
and the side stories it chose to hide the main story were quite......meh!

Watched anime only for the Ayanokoji
But the LN gives more life to the character, I got the difference in the first 3-4 chapter itself, so yeah as an anime it is just fine although I liked Season 2 due to badass Ayano moments, will tell you about LN after completing it

Now I don’t know about you guys, but I see Classroom of the Elite as kind of a spy thriller. There’s a lot of negotiating and confronting and blackmailing and espionage. Things you wouldn’t really see in a normal school anime. This show also stars one of the manipulative douchebags I’ve ever seen. And that’s Ayanokouji. Every girl in the show is also so down bad for him it’s insane, like they want to suck his dick. I mean who can blame them. He’s this emotionless evil bastard who’s actually extremely smart, and at the end of the first season he says that he sees people as tools. You thought Drake and Future were toxic in a relationship, think again. There’s also another character who’s manipulative and very evil but the person hides their true nature from people by being very nice. If you’ve seen this show you probably know which person I’m talking about.

Immediately when I started the first season, I was hooked. A show about a utopian high school that could potentially have evil motives and every student is cutthroat to get themselves to the top of the class is an interesting concept. And seeing Ayanokouji outsmart everybody during the special exams without anyone knowing it’s him is so satisfying. And I was kinda rooting for him in the first season as he just cleans house on everyone, but then he really starts becoming an asshole by the next season. While I was watching this show for the first time I had this theory that Ayanokouji was a secret agent working for the government, and he was trying to infiltrate the school to see if there was any sinister shit going on inside the school and to expose it or destroy it or something. Turns out I was wrong but it’s pretty funny to think about. Who knows maybe in the next season my theory will somehow be correct. (I haven’t read the LN so I wouldn’t know).

Now there is fan service in this show, there’s a lot of half naked minors. I mean yeah it’s weird watching it as an adult but it surprisingly didn’t bother me that much. Maybe it’s because I have a bigger appreciation for anime that I’ve kind of accepted the tropes at this point. I’m not saying that I like them now because I still don’t, I’ve just tried to have them slide off my back like whatever. I also like the titles of the different episodes. It’s always a quote that foreshadows what will happen in the episode. I think that’s a nice touch.

Most people prefer the second season over the first. Personally I like the first season a little more than the second. The second season I don’t think is as good as the first but it’s still very solid. I don’t have a specific reason why. I guess the pacing in the first season is better than the second. I don’t really know. I would go a lot deeper into this show but I don’t wanna spoil it for people who haven’t seen it. So to end this section, I’ll just say that I do recommend you watch it if you haven’t seen it. I mean you don’t have to watch it, it's just a friendly suggestion.

i think it takes some really great ideas and fresh concepts and packs it into an interesting and thrilling psychological story. im not an LN reader but i think the anime is perfectly fine, though some parts are noticeably annoyingly rushed. 9/10, and i voted for creative and innovative

I say the school makes no sense, the characters are subpar, and the MC is terrible. Mostly I hate the MC.
The MC only appears intelligent because all other students in the school for elites are absolute morons.

The premise was quite interesting but it fell off for me in the later episodes, even the latest season wasn't that good imo. The characters are forgettable af except for the MC and I find him pretty lacklustre as well.

yea this show is so cringe and tries way too hard to act smarter than it truly is.

Everytime im like "yo i dont like this show" usually the response is that the light novel is way better because the anime changes so much that it makes the characters entirely different.
