Hadn't they chosen her to confuse? As far as I know Doctor has no gender since he is the player so trying to give him a gender is absurd. The best way to see it is to see what you want it to be, as if it were a protagonist that you have created and you have wanted to give it any genre.

that actually doesn't help. that VA has voiced both male and female characters.

That's the point.

Yuki Kaida is one of few female seiyu who have a lot of roles of opposite gender, they usually voice young teenage boys, mature women, and / or traps.

On MAL, Kaida's most popular character is Kurapika, btw.

Doctor is both a guy, and woman depending on who's watching.

Doctor is a guy.

oh that's your point. i wouldn't say she's one of the few tho, there's alot of female VAs that mainly voice male characters.
but ye since the doctor is meant to represent the player, i'm sticking with gender neutral for now.

That's actually so wrong, a lot of female VA's voiced male characters. And they already said that they chose her because she could do a "genderless" voice. Doctor's gender will remain unknown until they take their hood and jacket off.

Since lowlight said something along the lines of: "doctor is kept gender ambiguous to allow all players to be able to self insert into the doctor" during interview, then doctor is gender ambiguous, you can think of them as your own gender if you wish, or whatever you want since it doesn't affect the story

Ignoring the slur usage, Doctor is whoever is watching. They are quite literally designed to be ambiguous and to be a self insert character.

What are you talking about? I was saying that Doctor can be any gender from the start, because Yuki Kaida voiced Kurapika, and other characters with confusing gender.
