I have a bad experience with visual novel adaptations but having read ATRI, a shorter VN, I think there's a possibility that it might not be totally garbage. It really deserves an adaptation that lives up to the stellar production and storytelling of the VN. Thoughts?

I wonder about the artstyle since the background artstyle was very unlike typical anime art but it did add very much to the atmosphere. In terms of story tho it should be very straightforward to adapt. Not much that could go wrong

oh so it's a vn adaptation, as long as they don't try to rush, it should be fine ig if it's a shorter vn as you said.

Jukki Haneda (Steins;Gate, S;G0, LL Superstar, Bloom into you) is doing series comp so says a lot. Also worked with the director Makoto Katou on Bloom into you.

No idea what goes on behind the scenes, but Aniplex managed to assemble an all-stars collab team to make the visual novel and since they're producing the anime as well, I'd assume they're fairly invested. Not sure why Atri didn't go to A-1/Cloverworks instead but Troyca isn't bad at all.

Honestly, I really don't see this going badly. Hopefully Troyca can pull off something amazing, given the world building and lore, an anime definitely suits Atri more than a vn.

Yeah, just finished the VN and I can say with confidence its gonna be really hard to mess it up. Just follow what happens in the VN and we should be golden. I really hope they don't try to take an anime original approach and botch it.

I also have high expectations, if this is a 12-episode anime then they would really be trying to fuck up this adaptation for a roughly 7-10 hours VN.

I think the anime would be 12-13 episodes but it would be better if they cover up between 20 to 24 .The main downside would be that it will boring for anime fans only.So my expectation is 13 episodes with good director it will be a good adaptation like clannad.
For the studios I think TROYCA is a good studio and I don't mind the art as long as it's decent enough but coming from recent TROYCA projects I think they would do a good job on atri .

I remember the last great vn adaptation i've watched is clannad. Damn that's still a tearjerker for me
