This felt like an ominous buildup with anti witch division closing in on the village.

It looks like Zero and her allies are ready for whatever that lies ahead. Unfortunately, I do kinda expect the finale to be rushed but this buildup has my interest regardless.

Looks like Zero is full in with her magical talent and is quite impressive.

Sayb, Hort and Kudo being summoned back to Wenias by Zero to avoid any catastrophic losses with the Witch's Village, and Sayb being the magic vessel to prove his usefulness in this war, with much persuasion they're able to stay and help out the Church in battle.

The Tyrant, for good or for worse, just acts like a tool at the behest of Hort thinking of her usage for him considering they're both under the same shell of being the anti-Church extremists. But once their pasts get renewed, whatever activities they have coming up will not be easy with the vulnerable force of 10,000. Not to mention how many Remnants of Disaster could be out there, it's danger everywhere.

To prepare a war where the objective is not to kill, Sayb, Zero and the others are walking a fine line to ensure that they reach their goal. And Sayb as Thirteen's son, he will make a name for himself in this war in his own way.

Only one episode left to clear this mess up. Although this is part of the Grimoire of Zero's lore, it felt like a very lackluster version of it.

I absolutely hated Tyrant for most of the story but he’s kinda growing on me now? I feel kinda bad that he’s still got this bloodlust though. All he knows is how to be a weapon, hopefully falling in love will continue to help him get past that.

Love how much Sayb has grown too. Coming up with a magic potion and devising the trap option, brilliant from a kid who didn’t say much to start the season. Love how shocked zero looked when she saw his magic was damn near endless lmao.

Should be a very very fun finale next week, hype. LNs also been licensed so I’ll check em out

The Abyss Sorcerer huh.. got a nice ring to it.. espescially when Sayb-kun personality is as hollow as a bottom-less abyss

Roux got some funny faces and Tyrant got a redemption arc.. The anime really is proving itself to be quite good for an anime with shitty first 3 eps..
Guess the final rating will be decided in next and last episode

I have to say that I have become more and more fond of this series as it has continued. It started out as just sort-of-almost-okay, but the characters have really grown on me. And connecting the Zero folks to the show kicked things up another notch. I have to say that the story itself has never become particularly compelling, the whole "package" hasbecome quite appealing.

It looks like this show intends, in its final episode next week, to find a suitable spot (concluding one phase of the story) where viewers can rest and decide to wait for another season or read the source material. It certainly seems that this has a big enough cast of promising characters to support a much longer story.

Is it just me -- or have Sayb's eyes lost that dead look they had earlier -- and seem to have come alive?

I am going to miss Professor Los most of all the characters...

I can only assume this next eps is gonna be wild.. Anything else will be a disappointment given the assessed forces and limited previous story to why they are actually there in story terms. its either going to kick off or be a damp squid

I liked it because the episode shows that the city where Saybil and his friends are will turn into a battlefield and he decides to use his power to win the war without a fight.

Shark-tooth dude continues to be the break out character as far as I'm concerned. His simmering tsundere relationship with the tiny boob monster woman force feeding him cookies while he flirts with everybody around him while everybody creating the show seems totally oblivious to the smoldering sexuality is amusing in the same way that Bisco's "everybody wants to do everybody else but we're not going to mention it" was.

The actual main characters and story though? Pfft. Good lord. It really speaks to how little this show has going with any of them that its big final battle is "Uh, war's coming, I guess? So there will be some random monsters next week? I think? Maybe?" Boy, how will they ever fight off… some random monsters spawned out of nowhere. What a grand finale. Lord knows even for what little amusement I squeeze from this rock each week, I'm not interested in another 12 episodes of it.

Hmm...

After Kody dies, the kids are summoned back to the school due to the Witch Village about to become the key point of a Battlefield...

Why are they aiming for the Witch Village again? shouldn't they be going after the School that's full of Witches instead? (instead of a village that have how many witch? 1?)

Are the Church Believers that crappy? They have to go after villages instead of cities? LOL

(tho these attackers are made up of crappy ppls)

___ ___ ___

And Sab decide to try and not kill people, by using Traps infused with magic using his new mana potions.

Meanwhile we got Los's child mode going all hyper on wanting to protect the village... LOL

And Hort kinda got lonely thinking Sab was avoiding them.

___ ___ ___

LOL @ the glass Loli-sensei forcing cookies down Tyrant's mouth... HAHAHAHA

Tyrant is SO IN LOVE with glass Loli-sensei.

And Hort still doesn't fully trust Tyrant (which is normal) and try to talk some sense into Tyrant about having a true free-will that isn't solely based on "being a tool".

___ ___ ___

And Sab decide to give tons of magic power to Zero, even Zero is surprised at how much power Sab has... even after Sab give more than enough to Zero, Sab barely felt any exhaustion from mana transfer.

(yea... Zero totally underestimate Sab's mana capacity when Los previously already states it was INFINITE....)

___ ___ ___

BTW, some ppls here are confused about the "Church" and "Church&Knights"

They're different.

The "Church" is anti-Witch/ beastfallen

While the "Church&Knights" is more or less a military to protects Witch and Beastfallen. (aka, made up of ppls that's anti-Church or left the Church or "traitors" as said by Kady)

Priest & Hearthful interesting talk with Tyrant development.
Hort never honest with Sayb, but with Tyrant she got brutally real with guilt revenge. Roux so much lol. Mouse with knife and Priest assuming love both oddly funny.
Not kill enemies trope at least got a good excuse, to avoid the bad PR against witches.
Bit weird to show bunch of new characters near ending.

Zero has some good naming sense, giving Sayb the title of the Abyss sorcerer.
