So i'm writing this in the novel section because i assume people who have read the novel are more likely to be familiar with other medium versions than the other way around, so which do you think is, excluding the novel itself, the best medium to experience the story: Manga or anime? And since both of those have a shit-ton of series: which ones are connected and which is a better way to start?

I personally think the anime is the best way to start & experience the medium; because of the voice acting, music, spell incantations, visual gags, and the characters personality coming to life. Also because the translated versions of the anime outside of Japan are still somewhat legally accessible; unlike the manga.
