Not having watched Re Zero, what do you guys find so interesting about it? I mean I don’t get the appeal of seeing Subaru dying over and over again. I’m likely missing something and I’m not trying to hate on the series, but I’m genuinely curious what you guys think makes one of the best isekai.

It's not an Isekai when you can log in and log out, you could say a semi Isekai though. Also Author doesn't claim it as an Isekai series.

I did not enjoy Re:zero as much as most people, season 1 was interesting enough for the most part, fell flat towards the final episodes, but season 2 was a convoluted mess, so awful in my eyes.

And Konosuba? I don't get the appeal, I can't stand that crap. However, I'm not one who generally finds anime that falls strictly under the "comedy" genre funny... These shows rarely, if ever get a laugh from me, but it's probably a combination of my age and a culture barrier. I mean hell, most well written shows with characters that arent shallow, where comedy isn't even secondary but is occasionally sprinkled in, get more of a smile from me than the likes of any of these quote unquote "hilarious" anime... Like Steins Gate for instance, gets more chuckles from me than Kaguya Sama, Nichijou, than Gintama, Grand Blue, Konosuba, No Game No Life and all the rest... Japanese comedy just aint my thing.
