| @terbufos excellent points all around, i do agree you should have worded that better about distortion. your other points the janky cg and the 80's inspired logo i didn't have any comments on. shrug. if Deadpool can get away with tapping into the 80's why not FLCL? yeah, doing things in moderation. is so NOT FLCL. the original was over the top so often you barely recognized the former benchmark before the show lept over it with a bit of flair. then it would do it again, and again, and again. the part where they're all playing with airsoft weapons and seriously stealing, obviously just outright plagiarizing John Woo films was hilarious! there's times when moderation is what you need. then there's times when you throw the whole pot of spaghetti against the wall and see which noodles stick. if nothing sticks, then damn, boil another pot and try again. :D somebody's funding it somehow :D ;) 'Gurren Lagann,' ;) oh, and the trailer is exactly... ELEVEN seconds long. yeah. i dunno about you but... i'm reserving all judgement till i get at least 30 seconds or more... |

| @KiliianSleipnir very fair point about the 11 seconds, haha. I was thinking about that last night, like... I gotta chill out, things could end up looking ok. I was on adderall when I was writing all of that (thanks ADHD LOL) so I had a LOT to say about very little. I'm still not excited, and I still strongly dislike the look and animation, but I'll leave it at that. I'm definitely very opinionated about a lot of very small things, and I just happened to see those small things in the clip we've gotten. (I love the animation in FLCL, btw!) Sorry you had to see all of that unhinged ranting 😂 |

Sorry you had to see all of that unhinged ranting 😂 hahah! if you had read around half the 11,440 posts i've put on diqus for kissanime or gogoanime and other sites you'd think i was both mad and a genius. bygones be bygones and let the medications take the blame. ;) i do entirely agree! ;) mine are all organic and inherent and learned responses and experiential issues. but it is always interesting to read and chat with folks who've got an opinion, the brains to even ramble coherently about it, and don't instantly devolve into 'me right, you wrong, bash in head!' types of rhetoric. take care out there, and watch out for those pills. :> |
