Indeed the main track and its variations do have a similar sound to Night on the Galactic Railroad's ending theme. I quite liked it and now I want to rewatch it lol.

Same to you, I really liked the Lupin track you posted! I haven't seen actually any material Hirasawa has worked on but I've listened to some of his anime soundtracks on Youtube. I like "Run" from Millenium Actress, and some of his Berserk OSTs, notably Guts and Force. By the way, how are you liking it so far? I didn't find Cat Soup's soundtrack very noticeable but I'll give it a listen then, maybe I'll have a newfound appreciation for it.
