It’s clear that Dororo is a child and Hyakkimaru is more like a teen/young adult that’s fucking gross. I think it should be left as a brother and sister relationship. And hayakkimaru fell for her voice and how caring she was towards him and others.

Lastly don’t post something that’s meant for everyone to make a opinion on but asking ppl not to comment if they don’t agree with you, you might as well delete this.

Dororo was a child at the moment. That's utterly disgusting of you to insinuate they could or should have been together at the moment.

And like the user above me said,he fell for Mio, who was around the same age as him, because of her voice that was soothing and calm. It's also good to remember he met her right after recovering his earing (does it make sense?). He was overwhelmed by every small sounds to the point it must have been hurtful. So, her soft and calming voice only help him by infatuated with her.

Dororo is a child, that’s so gross. Yes, Her and Hyakimaru have a close bond but it’s nothing more than like a sibling relationship. Also, I don’t think Mio was a love interest. In my opinion, Hyaki did did care about her since she was very caring and helped treat him, plus her voice was soothing to him.

Wasn't Mio and Hyakkimaru canon? Even in the anime Black Jack by the same creator Osamu Tezuka, there is a character named Hyakki Marou and his fiance Mio. A character named Roro is there too as a reference to Dororo and calls Hyakki Marou brother as well. This is a reference from Dororo. I don't know if this counts.

Isn't Hyakkimaru like 5 years older than Dororo? Dororo is like 11 or 10 or even below. I think the reason why people ship them especially in the end of the series is because Dororo grew up, she got taller and Hyakkimaru looks the same as he is, like he didn't get taller or something.

hyakkimaru is 16 and dororo is 11 so a 5 years age gap is not bad
they grew up in the end so why not?
also i ship them to be honest dororo was the only person that didnt left hyakkimaru side for all the length of their adventure and fights
