Richard seems more complex than I had expected with his position in the show. I wonder if he can even step into the shoes of a king....

On the other hand, I still don't like Elizabeth much in this show but she still holds a degree of influence.

Welp, Edward's bethroning to Elizabeth is the start of his downfall, and it's an internal conflict when even the Kingmaker Warwick has to re-thread his connections. This is probably where the much-mentioned "God save the Queen" with Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth puts a consensus where British rule has learned its lesson the hard way.

Richard on the other hand, is still trying to grasp his/her life and getting it together with the many dilemmas from the dukedoms of a chance of being king to being conscientious with getting along with the nobles of Birmingham. As such, with Anne, Richard is much content with living a low-key life than to get tormented by his close contacts, and the older brother George, also acting the same towards Isabelle but with much scrutiny because he could follow in the footsteps of Edward.

For once, Richard's relationship with Anne feels pleasant while fighting his internal battles with Joan of Arc, but Warwick has only one objective: using his daughters to file for rebellion against Edward using both his younger brothers of George and Richard.

Elizabeth is nothing but impending trouble all at one go.

Great episode! Wow. Richard really is going through a lot and his brother really is an idiot for marrying that woman...
I feel sorry for him and I really do not like Warwick at all and Richard also misunderstood Anne...

Looking forward to the next episode!

It's getting better and better at each episode.
I really love this global dark ambiance, how's Richard feels are transcribed and how is already evolving since his father death.
Being a pawn and revolting against everyone to follow his own way.

With Elizabeth crowned queen, pleanty of problems seem to arise for Warwick the kingmaker

I wonder if the Duke of Buckingham really will be the one to help Richard take the rown

With both the younger brothers at Warwick's home, it was only a matter of time before he revealed his next steps as he works towards making George the next king

Anne and Richard sure were having such fun, enjoying each other's presence. They sure were a sweet couple to watch, poor Richard hearing all that though, especially after dealing with Joan too

I wonder how he'll manage to survive this now

I'm still iffy on this show and honestly doubtful I'll make it through 24 episodes, but episodes like this one that don't jump around so much are compelling.

I don't understand why this anime is so underrated, it's actually great.
Poor Richard... he's trying to be a true man and try to love Anne... But too bad... he mistaken what Anne meant... Anne do love him...

Lol at the scene where warwick stopping Richard brother from making love with his daughter....

I know this isn't the most well-done anime, but it's still good. It doesn't deserve a score as low as 5.69!

I like the way the king's stupid action is followed by immediate consequences. It keeps the story moving.

Warwick feels betrayed and disappointed, and he is now conspiring against Edward. And, I get it. Edward was a fool. But, Warwick's also planning to use his daughters as pawns for this purpose, and I don't like that. Well, people in history did use marriage as something political, so I understand his actions.

The Duke of Buckingham is sooo cute!! He even tried flirting with Richard. lol

The anime is doing a good job showing how Richard feels like this world has no place for him. Even when he is sad, he doesn't change his way of speech or voice that much, as if he feels he has no right to do so. And, that final line!!! "Yes, Richard, fall; down into the depths of the warm abyss."
God, I love poetic lines like those!!! It's lonely, it's sad, but it's equally beautiful.

Good episode. The narrative flow of the series has improved substantially over the last couple of eps.

Poor Richard was there at the wrong moment to listen.

Elizabeth using a child as a trump card, little does she know Warwick will do anything to take the throne from her. On the other hand, I feel bad for George to getting so obviously used like that by Warwick and his other daughter, he's the most innocent of the three brothers and they're easily using that.

younger brothers of the death painting wombs,
lend me your strength!! fire!!
like Esou... I must fight with grace!
like Kechizu... I must fight freely!!
and like Yuji... I must fight with power!!!

This show is only getting better and better!

Warwick is plotting and working behind the scenes. I like seeing the consequences of King Edward's love marriage.

Anne and Richard's scenes were nice. She does care for him. Unfortunately, he was outside the door at the 'right' time to hear part of the conversation. Now he thinks, again, no alive cares for him </3

I feel like I must be missing something, because I genuinely do not understand the pacing of the story, nor think it's any good. I also hate the typical "MC hears love interest say something but leaves mid-way so misunderstands".

I like the idea of Richard being intersex and struggling with his identity (though where does it say his female persona is Joan of Arc?) and some of the other characters, like Anne, but it seems like most characters are either stupid or bad.

Still going to watch it weekly, though. Unlike Orient, this one still has me hooked somewhat, it's weird.
