I'm caught up to date on on all of Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi which has aired at this point, including all of season two, and one of the reasons I'm enjoying season two a good deal better than the first is because Moroha was also by far my favorite of the trio and Moroha is finally getting time to shine, both in physical action and emotionally as a more realized person and not just sidelined as a punchline or outright ignored. It's refreshing and improved the series as a whole. Because Setsuna is similar to a female Sesshomaru and Towa is just the more standard kind of hero/nice guy/insert protagonist, but Moroha is easily the most fun, seeing a version of Inuyasha in female form so I'm with you on that. This season and series is still far from perfect or the original Inuyasha in my mind, but at least the unceremonious perpetual shafting of Moroha was finally brought to an end and it's like it awakened something in the energy of the whole show. Some of the season two episodes where Moroha was more centrally featured made watching the whole series feel more worth it. |
