Nonomi was absolutely adorable once more with her great pianica skills. Her doodling on the test was quite cute too. My heart just squeals every time I see her. |

| I was harsh on this show in the past, and still think it's incredibly mediocre, but I find the world building around the cast to be weirdly well done. The way they're affected by the sound of an ambulance, the fact that they can't keep up with their studies do to how much they're fighting, how the loss of their comrades affect them, the refusal to listen to military and death related newscasts. For a boring cast that never gets any good screen time to let us learn about them, the world building around them really allows for the viewer to feel for them as a collective. I haven't really had enough thoughts to warrant commenting, but now that I'm typing this out anyways I might as well make the Eva comparisons, the mechs they use are clearly inspired by eva units, the world situation is reminiscent of eva, as well using students to fight, we're clearly seeing an attempt at the development of it's cast due to the tragedies around them, and the baby shy coward character and the tsundere who's really good at her job(Shinji and Asuka) having to work together and create a synergy amongst each other to name a few. Pretty sure this anime is extremely inspired by Evangelion, even the way we get a good look at everyone in the force, the choice to show us the shots of the sunglasses dude and the teacher talking, as well as the directing of them really remind me of it. |
| this definitely is a mediocre anime show, but i think the world building and the video games and manga and drama cds that are all apart of it make the show great. Its definetly cool to see how the characters reacted to the death in the last episode. That one dude even blank expressionless and just reacting to a girl asking for a cup of water. |
