Yikes, there are even characters that uses this game as a way of experimentation. Kinda creepy if you ask me.

Not to mention, I think that professor has a creepy personality. On the other hand, I do like the variety of cast being introduced. It keeps the anime more refreshing.

This episode was nothing special, but helped with a little bit of plot development.

Enjou's play of Build-Divide forced through human experimentations, even schools are in play.

A faction of the Neo Kyoto University with Card Profressor direction Dairo Keisen at the helm of reading Enjou's moves with every battle, Teruto and the others helping to avenge for him is just weird. Not to mention that the entire lab does have a creepy vibe to it.

The battle's just the same decency as ever, but learning of how each challenger battling against Teruto uses their deck of cards is interesting at the very least.

No, Teruto, Sakura isn't looking out for you at all (the last episode being the most obvious example) and the sooner you realize that the better. Everything she does for you is only done to benefit herself. You're simply a tool to her; a means to reach her own end goal as she lacks the capabilities to reach it herself.

Probably my fave episode so far. Find it hilarious MC discovers human experimentation and just walks past as if it’s no big deal lmao.

This professor is strange even though he has his goals that had a great destruction for it, with Teruto winning again in battles.

Did Teruto just called Hiyori as "Hiyoko"!? bwahaha just look at scene [06:40] but the subs this time was correct: it shows: "Let's go, Hiyori." but you could clearly hear VA of Teruto Yuuto Uemura say: 'Hiyoko' LOLZ! am i the only one who noticed that? looks like studios also need quality check huh...even VA's go wrong...
4/5.

Cards have magical powers now I guess.

A lot of convenient things happening, like how did Naomitsu end up in front of Teruto's tent after he was defeated in the beginning, and the coffee being handed to them instead of being put on the table so that the professor can see Sakuras ghost hands (what's up with that?), Hiyori tripping leads them to find the hidden path, Teruto slicing the ground to end up exactly in the room with the professor.

Also, is that a hint of a deeper relationship I saw at the end there?
Still, gonna keep watching because I still wanna know what's up with the city floating in space.

They skipped the first few turns again. I hate when card shows do this; it ruins the flow of battle.

We saw this in the first episode. But it does make me wonder why we don't see it more often. You'd think people would go nuts and start murdering people for them, or using them for crimes, or using cards that could help them in everyday life.

The best episode so far. Those moments during the last minute of the battle are amazing. Teruto has really grown on me with his strange personality. He's my favorite main character of the season so far alongside Yamato from Megaton Musashi.

So I gotta ask if these cards can essentially be used as weapons like we see here and in episode one where a guy gets cut up. Why hasn't anybody started an uprising against the system. Most people in the show seem to hate it. It doesn't even benefit the rich because the entire society hinges on the fact that your good at this childrens card game.

True, I forgot about that.
Yeah the change this would do to the world cannot be underestimated.
The world in this show is...weird, and it'll be interesting to see if it's explained properly or not.

I'd imagine the ones in power would be able to utilize cards better, or just straight-up have way better cards than the common folk. Anyone who goes up against them unprepared would get slaughtered. At least the current system, as bad as it is, keeps things from going into all-out, death-filled warfare.

Still, it doesn't make sense that some people won't use these cards for more tactical purposes, or quick assassinations. Small-scale stuff. I hope we see some rando trying to break into the tower to murder the King with a gun monster or something.

This is just my assumption based on what has been presented but I think they are implying you need to be a Challenger to the King to use the magic of the cards. Every time we've seen people activate the magic cards they were implied to be part of the Rebuild battle. That thug in episode 1 was chasing Sakura to get her chips iirc and he would only want the chips if he was a Challenger. The lab students were Prof's underlings and also part of the Rebuild as we saw Naomitsu challenge them. I think all those people in the riots in episode 3 were complaining that they were too weak to be eligible to join Rebuild and therefore would not be counted as challengers so they can't use the magic of the cards. Secondly, we don't really know how effective the magic is. Teruto used the Reaper command in episode 1 and we don't see what happens to the guy afterwards but used the same command again in the lab to seemingly knock the guy out and then tie him up. So maybe you don't actually kill people with the cards but they could be more like talismans with small scale spells.

in the end it's all gonna come down to proper world. And if I know trading card shows it's either going to have amazing world building like 5DS first season. Or bad world building like Bakugan.

Hmm this is strange, anyway Teruto had to fight that mad scientist Kaisen to save Sakura because he saw that she has ghost hands... kinda felt like a random episode, and what's up with that end of episode they make it looks like Sakura is really helping him while it's the contrary, she's a scam

This episode was all about the card professor and he was evil, so teruto gladly defeated him.

I give this episode 6/10

Gotta love how Teruto just ignores the creepy human experimentation rooms and small fry to battle the mad professor.
