So, the animators are overworked and underpaid. The Japanese government recently revealed that the studio owes around $3.65 USD million in unpaid taxes, causing the President of the studio, Hiraku Kondo, to step down. Mean while now a lot of movie watcher could have just paid subscription to watch the Mugen train arc but paid extra from the movie. And can't skip the TV series because it might be released attached to the next arc. So, they might have to pay for the Blu-ray for both the director cut they want and the next arc. Everyone here is disrespected instead of hardcore fans that will consume even all the non-sense they find and the greedy producers. bruh u saying that cause they havent made anything after mugen train so they are low on cash makes absolutely no sense. first of all ufotable arent ur average make 1 anime per season studio they legit do like 1 or 2 anime per year. and ithink your forgetting the fact that they had the highest grossing film in japanese history soo i dont think theyre running low on cash at all even with there tax evasion thing which the dude has already payed and is nothing compared to the amount they made from the movie. they would have no budget problems what so ever |

SukuReal said: keragamming said: you can also watch the movie at your own piece your argument is not even validAs someone that hasn't watch the movie I'm cool with this format, I actually couldn't watch the movie because the length was so long and I'm not really that big fan of i So I prefer this format as I can watch at my own pace. You mean watching it and then stopping at 32.05 seconds in the movie, which I would need to jot down to remember where to continue at and then continue at that point? Too much work and I feel doing it that way will break the flow because I may stop at a uninteresting point, while in the tv series they will edited it at some point that will want me to come back for the next episode. Technically yes it can work, but I would rather episode format as it would have a better ending point than me just stopping anywhere I feel like which would make me even more likely not to finish the series. The point is the 1 hour and 57 minutes is just daunting to me, this is how I looked at it when it comes to manga vs episodes, a weekly manga chapter on average is 17-20 pages I can easily read all of that in 5-7 minutes and I can better pace myself. Kimetsu no Yaiba was a series that I struggle to finish it took me about 2 to 4 month to finish it, from episode 17-25 is when it interest me, so I guess it just depends how interested I am in a series. It's not that deep mate. |

Cash crab or not one thing is for sure: the people complaining don't have any cash which could be grabbed from them. Because someone with cash who actually buys and collects anime on disc (and pays for streaming) would appreciate having the whole show in one format. I want the whole thing as a TV show in a nice collectors box. Having a mandatory movie in between would suck. It ruins the pacing. Also this is a none issue for anyone starting to watch after the whole manga gets adapted as TV show. This is ONLY crying of the poorest kids on here because they want more new content NOW which they are not paying for ever. Also depending on where you live, the seven episodes will probably cost around 10 $/€ to 30 $/€ bucks on BluRay. Streaming even cheaper. What a big cashgrab boys. They grabbed 10 $ from you. Huge grabbing, very greedy. |

The 2 episodes felt like a pointless watch to me. The dream sequence in the movie was already slow paced so the episodes format makes it even worse. The original content in episode 1 wasn't really worth it, not like I would have missed anything by not watching it. Definitely feels like milking the whole out of the series to ensure no one misses the content. |

People keep bringing up the tax Evasion thing like they still need to pay it . They don’t they have already paid it they released statement months about it. People that complain it’s a crash grab even though it affects you in no way at all. It’s down to Japan audience to decide if they want to buy the one episode volume or the re-edited version which will probably be for collecting purposes mostly if they already have the movie Either way they will still get the volumes for when the new content comes out. |
