| because the pace adaptation of manga is slow. Manga is published 1 chapter a month and the recent chapters narrated the story that ends with where the season 2 just ended so during anime production, which happens months before airing, the story was not available in manga. So they took the LN as the source and worked on the anime. But whatever the source may be. There won't be major changes in the story. so it doesnt matter |

The fact that the LN is used as a complementary source to expand what the Anime can cover, as well as to fulfill certain deadlines for early production for which the manga wouldn't make it in time, are completely irrelevant. And the manga is the adaptation of the LN story. So, anime=manga=Light novel, hence, anime=Light novel. The Web Novel is not just "a little different." What's actually a little different is the LN, manga, and anime compared to one another. As for the Web Novel? It's an entirely different story with some superficial similarities and some similar key-scenes but that's all. It's completely different. |

| I was very confused myself as to why that was as well, but that seems to be answered here. It's an odd occurrence tho. |
