Basically my main probably is as follows (copied from my episode 2 discussion comment): "Eh, this show went below my expectation. Subjectively, I don't like how childish this show is. For instance, they treat the MC poorly just because she is socially awkward and says she caries out bad luck, she cries easily because someone is nice to her, she looks up and wants to be like that guy because of their first interaction (because he treated her "nicely"), and that guy acts nice to her because he's that "generic archetype" character (they just instantly talked without building up to the setting)". Well? Will the anime just be the same from start to finish, or will it mature over time? |

She cries easily because someone is nice to her. No. She cried because someone was FINALLY nice to her. Someone around her age treated her like a human being instead of a pariah. Different concept. She behaves and acts childish and innocent because the show is intended to a Shoujo audience. The series is more mature as you progressed in the manga but the Anime doesn’t adapt that far ahead although they showed a glimpse of how adult topics are handled. I don’t know exactly how many episodes you have watched but this series has 2 Seasons (1st has 25 episodes) and the manga has 130 chapters. If you are complaining about Sawako’s archetype (Which it didn’t exist way back when since this series is pretty old) you won’t be able to handle the show at all. Maybe you are an easy going or out going person so it’s hard to connect with a character like this for you. |

Up to you, it’s kind of vanilla and very uwu but I think it has some pretty good character development and it has some good humor imo every now and then |

Yes its so good except the misunderstanding is little frustrating but overall it's too good. Especially because of the friendship between the girls. |

I was waiting for the anime to change but sadly it didn't. Ended up dropping after episode 10. |

Very annoying. Simple problems last for many episodes that could easily be resolved. Annoying mc and very selfish make love interest. The show was ok, but at one point she got in a fight with a few people and it took 6 episodes to resolve, when all it would take is for them to talk it out. I love drama anime, but this one has too much. I really don’t like the male love interest, even though most do. He is the most selfish childlike protagonist I have ever seen. I would explain further but it would be spoilers. I’d say, just don’t waste your time. But it’s up to you. |
The right mindset when watching an anime is hoping that it will break your top 10 |

"For instance, they treat the MC poorly just because she is socially awkward and says she caries out bad luck". Childish cause, childish effect. But yeah, different people have different tastes. Just not my type of show. I don't want to come across that person who hates on certain anime just because I didn't like it. Also, damn bro, the amount of Hentai you've watched. |

Personally this show is too slow progression in my opinion. Kurumi arc is the best arc in this anime, I don't think u would like it if u are not liking it currently. |

This is actually an annoying series to watch from the earlier episodes if you experienced what is happening to our heroine first hand but as it goes on, it gets better. @RandomGuyScott Adult topics? But I thought this was a sincere, heartfelt story when I watched it... 🥺 |
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

It is more like that Sawako already cherished Kayehaya before they even started to know each other because he was the opposite of her. The romance developement happened afterwards but not only mainly because of how kazehaya treated her nicely but just of how he is in general and they do have quite some classic romance experience that you make in a highschool romance anime with some drama involved, not just for sawako but also other characters do make developement and have romantical experiences that start to develope. I wouldn't say that the anime is quite childish but i think it is quite good towards for teenagers and is a cute innocent romance and friendship story that i definetly enjoyed. Sawako is pure and joyful just like the name given her, and she is but very shy of how she is seen as and be treated differently making her easily an outcast, besides that she is also getting bullied even when she tries to stand up for herself and her friends. Which is a first step into sawako's developement Honestly this is one of my favourite Romance Anime and it is cute. So i would recommend it. The second season gets more dramatic |

Secondly, quoting from the post you agreed with, "She behaves and acts childish and innocent because the show is intended to a Shoujo audience." I do not doubt that socially awkward people get bullied (experienced first hand), but if you get childish characters + childish writing = childish outcome. Also, I watched until episode 8 (dropped). I really enjoyed episode 6. But overall, I would have enjoyed this series if it were 12 episodes (I'm not going to watch 36 episodes). So i felt the reason to be not so childish.Satsujin-san said: RandomGuyScott said: how to umm.. like this quote? Did you even read my replay to that? Firstly, nice to ridicule someone with dyslexia. It seems like you mirror some of the characters, huh? Ironic. Secondly, quoting from the post you agreed with, "She behaves and acts childish and innocent because the show is intended to a Shoujo audience." I do not doubt that socially awkward people get bullied (experienced first hand), but if you get childish characters + childish writing = childish outcome. Lastly, it's okay that a show is written this way. It just doesn't appeal to me. "But yeah, different people have different tastes. Just not my type of show. I don't want to come across that person who hates on certain anime just because I didn't like it". Well, it seems like we've reached a conclusion. Instead of being toxic to one another (a significant portion of the anime community), we will just respect each other's opinions. Anyways, at the end of the day, it's just Japanese cartoons. Also, I watched until episode 8 (dropped). I really enjoyed episode 6. But overall, I would have enjoyed this series if it were 12 episodes (I'm not going to watch 36 episodes). Also, that comment was sarcasm, lol. Speaking of Kimi ni Todoke, I highly recommend this: Anime. It's very similar show. Okay, but I actually have two recommendations: htps://myanimelist.net/anime/145/Kareshi_Kanojo_no_Jijou htps://myanimelist.net/anime/21327/Isshuukan_Friends |
