THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
A lot of info dump this episode including Kasane's ability to time travel and the Red Strings. The guy dressed with the straw hat and sword turned out to be Yuito. He even requests Kasane to kill him. Now I guess it makes sense why Kasane decided to attack him from the previous episode.

Whatever the case, it seems the show really puts emphasis about saving the present and future. They really dumped a lot of responsibility onto Kasane's shoulders.

We're at the halfway point, and it's time to really think about what's the rabbit black hole idea behind the world of Scarlet Nexus. Btw, if anyone has played the game already, you should have at least an idea of the overarching story in a bigger way.

The Scarlet Guardians have time travelled into the future with Kasane's gravikinesis Psionic power of the Red Strings (albeit temporarily), where both leads Yuito and Kasane's character story get more fleshed out. Or more assuredly, it's Yuito of the future who has full knowledge of the sequence of events that turned out the way it is.

With caution, it's easy to say that Kasane followed what Takemichi of Tokyo Revengers did: to go back in their time to fix things, except that the difference is changing the unpredictable future with future Yuito's know-how.

The only question now is: How will the OSF remnants react to their side of the story, now that Kasane has burst that pipe open?

Time travel... hmmm, I feel like it doesn't fit with the series. Well, if they do it right, I won't complain 0.0

Interesting, I thought Kasane was brainwashed, but it turned out to be a misunderstanding. We'll see how this develops

Nice. They traveled into the future. No wonder why the place looks so different.

Well, after all that info dumb it makes more sense why Kasane attacked Yuito.

Now we got some info about the hole and why kasane attacked Yuito. I think it was well paced, way better than episode 2-4.

So much of what makes the game story good has been cut or rushed in the anime it’s hard to actually care about anyone or anything. I don’t think this story works in anime form. I see what people mean when they say Nier wouldn’t work as an anime either.

Time travel...I wasn't expecting that. Hopefully, Kasane is able to do something good for the future, whether killing Yuito or better yet, getting his help.

Yuito from the future looks badass for real. ''Red Strings'' is an interesting power that Kasane has. And Yuito in the future. His design is just amazing.
Kasane's mission is to kill Yuito and fix things up.

Seems like everything is following the plan of what future Yuito said. Also seems like the protagonist is gonna change for the following episodes, with Kasane getting the massive task of changing the future. Although I still find the story to be vague and not great, it at least gets a better set up since the last few episodes, to the point where I can actually get whats going on

I'm trying to keep up even if I can't gather all the information. But I know that the point of this anime is trying to break a bad timeline and introducing a brighter alternative timeline. So they'll have to do something different from the old timeline, but the 66-years old Yuito is still hot! Even hotter than his teenager version, I love his DILF scent.

After completing both Yuito and Kasane’s route in the game it’s so hard not to notice how rushed this feels. But it’s still nice to sit down and see the differences between the game and the anime

Explained many things in the previous episode, Kasane trying to kill Yuita that you can understand the situation of the future Yuita that was something strange is For the show's plot, the episode itself was So-so.

this (partially) explains why the entire show has been a confusing mess. The fools decided to include some time travel in their story, and poorly introduced it into the main plot.

When in doubt, throw in Time Travel and let the plot unravel. And so the plot shifts from now to then and then back to now and then..... wait.... oh well. Meanwhile my boy with the girl's name snags Kasane's power from her head for himself and jets off. I just know that next week will clear up all this stuff so that I can pick a side to root for.

Looks like the time traveling really be a trend in these year. Idk why but its seems pretty common at this time. Idk if that theme already become an anime trope several years before, or what. But damn, i hope its more than that straight 'kill my past and save the future plot'. Literally in shame, but the girls design always make me forget all the jaded details, ngl.

Oh well, Nagi for the next? Can't wait for it....

Decent episode, definitely better than the last few. As expected there's a lot of time travel going on here, it was definitely Kasane that saved young Yuito, but the question is for what purpose? Old Yuito honestly looked and sounded badass. Kagero was definitely the one that clapped the chairman. And the Karen in 2020 is probably the Karen in 2070 that used his brain eater to copy Kasane's gravikinesis. So I am wondering who really is the bad guy here?

Not happy Kasane and Yuito are on opposite sides of the spectrum but I would assume that will change later. Question is who is now more of a Villain: Karen or Yuito's brother?

Also explains now why is was actually Kasane and not a clone or something else who saved Yuito in the past. Even though now in hindsight she should have left him dead. One of the many issues with the time travel introduction.

That was a really unnecessary change to the story from the game (in my opinion). I was hoping the series will do the 2 protagonist-trope well but it's a shame we are instead focusing mostly on Yuito's story (I gave it 6 whole episodes aka half of the show's runtime, instead of rushing to determine that the show is Yuito-focused after the first few eps in case people try to argue about not giving the show enough time to grow).

This is one of the Misubi Codes for the game. There is 1 hidden in each episode. If you enter it in game you will get something from them.
