Here’s my idea - what if one loop everyone regained all of their memories from previous loops - like all of them. The idea was explored in sotsu with tepei, but I think it could have been so much more. Like imagine Keiichi, Mion, Rena, and even others like Oishi, and Shion, all realized that they got manipulated into killing each other and played like fiddles over and over and over for what can boil down to someone having a bad high-school experience. I think it would made a hella interesting ending with so much room for creativity.
Anyone else have any cool endings that would have been better?

It could be interesting, but it's all boil down to execution of it. I mean, I don't want it to be as anticlimatic as gun scene was(the one that was cliffhanger in Gou, and ended in like 5 seconds in 14 ep of Sotsu). But I'd like to see(or read) such a scene

A scenario where the everyone in Hinamaizawa instantly jump to L5 because of memory leaks would be fun.

Although I guess it would be a little like Outbreak.

Still, at least Satoko and Rika will see the consequences of their repeated loops.

Why Rika though? It's not like she's doing loops because she wanted, she's forced to do it. Satoko must see(and get) the consequences though

I wanted to try out the novel, but I'm disappointed to know that there's no choices and multiple endings. Tsk.

Too bad Rena didn't stay long enough to hear that comment in the end.

So now we know why the timelines were so wildly different. Sometimes it's Rena going crazy, then Keichi, then Mion, then Oishi. I already thought it was weird why it was never the same person going crazy, but it's Satoko injecting someone else every time.

But if you remember Season 1, this was already the case back then. So Satoko has been looping since Season 1 already?? That means that, to get to the point where Satoko feels betrayed by Rika at the academy and acquires looping powers, Rika would first need to reach a world where they catch Takano Miyo. But if Satoko was looping in Season 1, then that means we never actually saw Rika working her way through each world to catch Takano, that already happened before season 1.

Quite a good start, though the first half was pretty boring. I'm still not over the fact that Satoko was looping all this time as well, but now it makes sense why she would set traps in weird places, since she already knew what would happen.

Opening is probably the best Higurashi opening for me so far, sounds really good.
