Seriously how do they always manage to ruin their own shows ? I've lost all faith in cloverworks now.

I mean it’s the director’s fault not really the studio’s...CloverWorks only animates it and deals with the overall production, the way the series is written isn’t their fault(not in this case at least).

Ok I see thanks I didn't knoow that. But still it's like a curse at this point, every show they make turns out like this (exept for shadow house).

They have some really good anime in their catalog, they are just taking on way too many projects all at once like MAPPA and it’s becoming harder and harder for em to execute everything properly.

Yeah I did notice that already but I am still confused. Why couldn't they just follow the source materiel for tpn for example. I get that mappa is a bigger studio but they manage to follow the source materiel in almost every show I've seen of them.

Tpn second season was a result of the mangaka. The mangaka wanted the season to be rushed. Idk for what reason, but this eas confirmed while s2 was airing.

The readon why WEP and TPN2 became a failure is studio's fault not directors
Higher-ups decided to make it anime original in TPN2's case
And they did not give enough resources or time to director in WEP's case

After what happened with The Promised Neverland season 2 and Wonder Egg Priority, I’ve grown to hate CloverWorks for rushing great series, and now Shadows House will suffer the same fate. Shadows House will be the last CloverWorks anime I watch for a long time.

Wait, no spoilers pls, but what happened with Shadows House?

It is pending of a second season like TPN or a ending episode like WEP?

Hmmm yes, I officially consider CloverWorks as the "recaps studio" because why did we freaking need 2 RECAPS OF THE SAME ANIME

I hope no one I know irl sees my secret account~

Anyways, do I look cute in this outfit?~

as GreiLugaj said, it is Kaiu Shirai(the mangaka) who wanted a different approach to the anime. it's not the fault of the studio.

To be honest, I didn't mind the recap since I hadn't seen the show since it finished airing and sometimes I forget stuff. But yeah, the conclusion left me with more questions than answers.

After reading about this supposed "special" episode (that I've not yet watched) I kind of dread how CloverWorks are going to end(?) Shadows House on Saturday.. Are they going to pull 3 for 3 ending failures?

They invented a complete new extremely rushed story to fill the last episodes when they could just have done a 11 episode anime instead of 13. The series was perfect until episode 11, but you don't really know what's going on in their twisted brain they thought "
It's too perfect, why not ruined everything for the last two episodes?"

What has Cloverworks not fucked up? DITF, Persona 5 the animation, TPN s2, Horimiya, WEP, and Shadows House might be up next...

I dropped both Wonder Egg Priority and Yakusoku no Neverland season 2 long before the season/series finales, somewhere around episodes 4 - 5, because I could sense something off-putting in their pacing & writing which I couldn't exactly put my finger on at the time, but it rubbed me the wrong way. It seemed like it was trending toward shallowness, the "Hurry, get it over with" rotten mentality, and placing style over substance even then, teasing payoffs in substance that would never arrive.

In retrospect, after hearing about the catastrophic plummet in quality of Yakusoku no Neverland in the second half of the season and especially with the final episode in particular, and hearing about the reportedly disappointing second half of Wonder Egg Priority's run and now this latest debacle surrounding it, I feel like I made the right choice.

However, Shadows House has been my favorite series of the spring 2021 season by a hefty margin. Notwithstanding the fact that the last two episodes have been disappointingly rushed. And now I'm feeling even more pessimistic, grim, and sweating over what's to come on Saturday. I hope they prove my instincts wrong...

It seems like Cloverwork is becoming the new gen Studio Pierrot. At least you're guaranteed good animation tho.
