While yes, it has moved on past the "save your friends and fight your regrets"-part, that's not where the journey really ends. It's about moving on from here and the girls cherishing themselves and each other, realizing what they gained from their grief, eventually, and that they've got to stick up for each other.

This first season was firmly about coping with their tragic pasts. None of them really thought wholeheartedly after what'd come after. Season two would need to confront them with the future.

There's an entire season worth of content, character development, story arcs and left to be told.
