at the end when the guy says he wants the film from the broken camera developed, I thought there was a mistake in translation. It's from early 2000s and the interface looked like one from a digital camera (ISO setting, multi point AF), but now i've checked there were such professional film cameras back then, and they're pretty expensive too.

Okay, I... might be fighting back tears right now.

Seriously, this episode destroyed my heart and healed it at the same time. It was incredibly hard to watch but also so beautiful. I really love the way this show has been using the concept of time travel so far. You can't change the past, but a simple action can still change everything and have some truly deep meaning. (Funnily enough, I'm currently reading a japanese novel about time travel which deals with the exact same idea, it's interesting to compare how both stories handle this topic.)
And the way it shows the importance of relationships, mainly with our parents but also with everyone we care about... It's moving, truly.

Also, every episode makes me love Xiaoshi's character a bit more ! He feels so human in his characterization, so real and consequently so endearing, he's got some great chances of making it to my favorites by the end.
But this episode also subtly confirmed what was already implied : Guang (is that his name ? I'm not sure I remember it correctly) has way more to him than just "stern and stoic in comparison to Xiaoshi's emotional personality". It's VERY subtle, but clearly, there's a lot hidden underneath this pragmatic exterior and I'm really looking forward to knowing more about him.

One last thing : Xiaoshi's va (in mandarin at least) was incredible in this episode ! His cries felt so real, and that's exactly what's needed for his character. I'm not at all familiar with chinese voice actors but this makes me want to check out more of their works.

Overall, each of these five first episodes was quite amazing, if the second half is just as great then it's no wonder why Link Click is so praised.

Edit : Wait a second, I just realized : Xiaoshi and Guang are basically the Yin and the Yang ! They're two sides of the same coin, they rely on each others' strengths in every sense of the word, that's why the chinese title is a portmanteau of their names ("Shi" "Guang"), that's why they "fuse" at the end of the opening, that's why they're black and white, that's why they seem like opposites yet get along so well, how come I didn't realize that sooner ?! This fits so well with the show's thematics, that's genius.
(It's also interesting how, despite clearly representing the Yin and the Yang, they're the opposite color : Xiaoshi has the Yang personality yet has black hair and wear black clothes, and Guang has the Yin personality yet has white hair and wears white clothes. It only further proves that they're not just each others' opposite, they're both way more complex than just an archetype, but in a completely different manner.)
