Well... that's interesting choice to reboot the show off screen and start over. Guess it's to make more tenstions and introduce Franchochou to new audience? Will there be spawn limit on zombie life expectancy? Well, let me watch my idol group.

It was an okay start. The first season wasn't anything special in my opinion, but it had a couple of good episodes.

Hmmm, Koutarou sudden change of mind is kinda rushed but i don't mind since its the first episode and the idea wasn't good to start the second season. At least we're done with that topic.

I think this season's premise is a good choice for the second season. I absolutely love the fight scene with the whole slow motion thing and the use of cgi improved and looks better now.

season 1 was great, this first episode of Revenge was pretty good on its own (respect for the girls humble enough and ready to do day jobs without complaining to repair the debt, also able from now to think about their own makeup), but i'm honestly concerned about the series finale. Very concerned...

Well, we're back with our favourite undead idols. I'll admit, I didn't like the first season all that much, especially after the first few episodes but hopefully this season will be better, especially since most of the generic idol tropes have already been done.

Happy to see a second season of my favourite (and only) zombie idol group. I sure as hell didn't expect them having failed at a big concert and eccentric Kotaro being a total mess but I guess its fits as comeback episode.

My favorite idol group 😍

Producer dude is broken after the flop performance. 😭

But he got back up!

That show is chaotic, but I like the performance.
Anime is fun.

Hm.. So is revenge - revenge to people, who didn't appreciate them enough at that failed concert, and so they'll become better.. Something like that?.. Well, will see..
They must succeed in some time?.. Hm.. Why?.. Will they no longer be able to be smart zombies after time or something?.. It's only temporary?.. Like their brains will melt even more or something, I don't know.. Something like that?.. Or something else?.. If this is the case.. It's kinda sad.. Very possibly sad.. Well..

This show is still as loud and weird as I remember.
Kotara went from looking like Eren, to looking like, eh, Eren again.

The fact that he was more insufferable than he usually is, they truly made me root for him to get it together.

They concert being a flop makes sense, they rose their profile but that doesn't mean that now you are an established act especially for an Idol group where you need to take care of your fandom.

The rest of the girls entertaining as usual and I liked the song but wrong choice for a Metal concert like the first they actually sang a rock song this time they subjected an audience of Metal fans to idol songs they didn't ask for, should be elated they stopped fighting and only stared at them that's the best response they could get.

One episode into the season so we're dealing with... the fall into alcoholism of the beloved manager! Definitely not what I expected, haha. The grand return to form for everyone at the end was awesome, fuckin' loved the image of idols signing as a whole fight is going down in the audience, awesome premiere! Rebirth of Franchouchou!

The adventures of our favorite zombie idols continue in this new season of Zombieland Saga. I gotta say, I was not expecting Franchouchou to be down on its luck again after season 1 ended with such a huge victory for the group. Gotta Franchouchou as an underdog, I guess.

The failure of their big concert and Koutarou's depression would have been more meaningful had we seen them unfold in the present instead of being relegated through flashbacks. That's why Koutarou's return to help Franchouchou at their concert (for whatever good it did) fails to have any meaningful impact. It has to happen, otherwise the show would be dragging his depression throughout the whole season.

That said, I liked how the zombie idols had gotten part-time jobs in order to pay for the debt they accumulated after their previous concert. It allows the show the chance to explore their lives outside of singing.

I had a lot of fun with season 1 of Zombieland Saga and I'm hoping this season can meet the standards left by season 1.

I'm guessing Kotaro rushed things and started despairing when they failed because the girls have an expiration date which is all kinds of worrying. It'll certainly be interesting to uncover more about the supernatural side of this show which I hope happens in this season.

Lol they even gave Saga Eren the Rumbling sound (at bar when he crushed a glass). Also I appreciate the fistfight, it was well done.

They really can't function without Manager-san. I wonder what this deadline is.

That cold opening was odd, until the big bad news bomb was revealed. Why are they all doing different jobs? Why the makeup seems different? Oh, well. It gets worse, the tables are turned and now Kotaro Tatsumi is the one with completely lost motivation, having become a barfly, drinking far too much, and letting creepy details slip to the audience like one about a sort of time limit about Saga and his idols project.

It was nice to see a little more about the technical side of creating music between producer and performers, but especially returning to the first music club where it all began turned out to be the right thing, even despite a lot of hostility. Those two metalheads are loyal to the bone, it's impossible to not have a great opinion about, it's almost as they're a stand-in for some kind of watchers of the series (...including me). Finally... the bartender has a very not poor choice of words and convinces Tatsumi to reach the place in time and yell "MUSIC START!!!!!!!!!!!!" introducing one of the absolute best songs from the series, and somehow the fact that it is performed during a brawl involving the audience made it even more epic. Revenge has began, and i'm hyped.

(wow, i remember that my first watch of the series was shortly after i joined Myanimelist but completely forgot that i commented this episode already back then. Whatever.)

While i feel this episode is alright as an episode, it was the episode that made me put off watching the series for these many years.

I was a full on fan of Franchouchou, I listen to their first album often, it brings back fond memories of the first season. Then this first episode just tramples all over their hard work in season 1. I just dropped it there.

3 or 4 years later now, finally caught up, Kotarou is an idiot. I cried a bit at some parts of the anime. but no pity for this guy at all.
